Dimple Cylinder Lock (9501) for Vending Machines – Keyed Alike, Code #0005
Protect your vending machine with the Dimple Cylinder Lock 9501, a high-security plug lock designed specifically for vending machine applications. This new Aba security lock features key code #0005 and is supplied in a keyed-alike configuration, making it an excellent choice for vending operators who want reliable machine security combined with convenient key management.
The Dimple Cylinder Lock 9501 is designed to fit most T-handles, making it a practical replacement or upgrade for compatible vending machine locking systems. Whether you operate a single vending machine or manage a large vending route, this lock provides a convenient way to maintain controlled access while reducing the hassle of carrying multiple different keys.
Ultra High-Security Vending Machine Lock
Security is one of the most important considerations when operating vending machines. Machines are often placed in locations where they may remain unattended for extended periods, making a dependable locking system essential. The Dimple Cylinder Lock 9501 provides an ultra-high-security locking solution designed to help protect the machine cabinet and its contents from unauthorized access.
The dimple-cylinder design provides a specialized locking mechanism that is different from conventional basic locks. When installed correctly on a compatible vending machine, the lock provides a strong physical barrier and controlled access for authorized personnel. It is especially useful for operators looking to replace worn, damaged, or outdated vending machine locks.
Keyed Alike Convenience
One of the biggest advantages of this model is its keyed-alike configuration. Every lock using the specified key code is designed to operate with the same corresponding key. This can be particularly valuable for vending operators who service multiple machines.
Instead of carrying a separate key for every vending machine, a keyed-alike setup can simplify daily service routes. Operators can use the same key for compatible locks installed throughout their vending operation, helping reduce key clutter and making routine activities such as restocking, collecting cash, maintenance, and machine servicing more convenient.
Key Code #0005
This Dimple Cylinder Lock is specifically identified with key code #0005. The key code is an important part of the lock configuration and should be verified before purchasing replacement locks or keys. If you are matching an existing lock system, confirm that your required key code and lock configuration correspond to this product.
Using the correct code can help ensure that replacement locks work with the intended key system. For vending operators maintaining multiple machines, keeping accurate records of lock codes can also make future replacements and service work easier.
Designed for Vending Machine Applications
The Dimple Cylinder Lock 9501 is designed with vending machine applications in mind. Vending machines experience frequent opening and closing during normal business operations, so the locking system must be practical for repeated access while still providing appropriate security.
This lock can be useful for vending machine owners, route operators, vending technicians, distributors, and businesses maintaining their own vending equipment. It is suitable for replacing a lock that has become worn, damaged, difficult to operate, or otherwise unreliable.
Fits Most T-Handles
The product is listed as fitting most T-handles. Because vending machine designs can vary by manufacturer, model, and existing hardware configuration, it is important to verify compatibility before installation. Comparing the existing lock and T-handle arrangement with the replacement specifications can help prevent ordering an incompatible part.
For operators performing multiple lock replacements, confirming compatibility in advance can save installation time and help ensure that the replacement process goes smoothly.
New Replacement Part
This is a new, non-refurbished part. A new lock can be an excellent option when upgrading vending machine security or replacing an existing locking mechanism. Installing a new lock can also help restore smooth access when an older lock has experienced significant wear from repeated use.
Ideal for Vending Operators
The Dimple Cylinder Lock 9501 is a practical choice for both individual machine owners and commercial vending operators. Its combination of a high-security design, keyed-alike configuration, and compatibility with most T-handles makes it particularly useful for operators who prioritize security and simplified access.
For larger vending routes, standardized locks can make service operations more organized. Operators can maintain a consistent key system across compatible machines while keeping replacement parts identified by a specific code. This can simplify inventory management and reduce confusion when servicing several machines at different locations.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
