A Commercial Beverage Machine Built for Capacity

One of the main benefits of the Dixie Narco 501E is its large product capacity. This model is listed with space for 471+ 12 oz cans. A large capacity can reduce the number of trips required for restocking compared with smaller vending machines.

Restocking is one of the most important parts of operating a vending route. Every service visit takes time. Operators must travel to the location, park, unload products, open the machine, rotate inventory, refill empty columns, collect money when applicable, and check the machine before leaving.

A large-capacity beverage machine gives operators more room to plan their service schedule. Instead of relying on a small countertop unit or compact machine, the 501E provides a full-size commercial format designed for a larger beverage selection.

The listed capacity is based on 12 oz cans. Product capacity can vary depending on how the machine is configured and how products are loaded. Operators should always confirm product compatibility before stocking a particular beverage package.

Pepsi New Age Ultra Design

The Pepsi New Age Ultra theme gives this Dixie Narco 501E a branded beverage appearance. A branded vending machine can help create a clear visual connection between the machine and the products being sold.

Graphics can also make it easier for customers to recognize a beverage machine from a distance. In a busy workplace, warehouse, break room, or public area, clear branding can help the machine stand out from surrounding equipment.

The curved front adds to the overall appearance of the machine. It also gives the unit the familiar look associated with full-size Dixie Narco beverage equipment.

Nine Product Selections

The Dixie Narco 501E is listed with nine selections. This gives operators room to offer several beverage choices from one machine.

Nine selections can be useful when a location has customers with different preferences. An operator can dedicate different selections to different beverages, flavors, package options, or product categories based on the needs of the location.

Product selection should always be based on actual customer demand. A vending operator can review sales data and adjust the product mix over time.

For example, a workplace may have strong demand for traditional soft drinks. A warehouse may have customers looking for a wider range of beverages. An apartment property may require a different product mix than an office.

The nine-selection format gives operators flexibility while keeping all of those choices inside one commercial beverage machine.

Multi-Price Vending Operation

The Dixie Narco 501E is listed as a multi-price vending machine. Multi-price operation allows different selections to have different selling prices.

This is important because beverage products do not always have the same cost. Operators may also choose different prices based on product size, brand, demand, location costs, or other business factors.

A multi-price configuration gives the operator more control than a vending machine where every selection must use one identical price.

For a nine-selection machine, this can be especially useful. The operator can create a product mix with different price points while keeping the customer experience simple.

Coin Acceptance

The listed Dixie Narco 501E accepts coins. Cash payment remains useful in many vending locations.

Customers may not always have a payment card or mobile wallet available. A coin mechanism gives customers another way to complete a purchase.

Coin acceptance can also make the machine useful in locations where cash remains common. Operators can select products and pricing that fit the location while keeping a traditional payment option available.

$1 Bill Acceptance

The machine is also listed as accepting $1 bills. This adds another cash payment option for customers.

Customers often prefer bills when they do not have enough coins for a purchase. A bill acceptor can make the transaction process more convenient.

Combining coin acceptance with $1 bill acceptance gives the machine a broader cash-payment setup.

Credit Card Reader Capable

The Dixie Narco 501E is listed as credit card capable. This point is important for buyers to understand.

The machine does not include a credit card reader with the listed product. The term credit card capable means that the machine's electronics are new enough to accept a compatible credit card reader. A separate reader is required for cashless payments.

Vending World states that compatible credit card readers are available and that installation can be handled by independent installation specialists. Additional installation costs may apply. Buyers should confirm the current reader options, installation requirements, compatibility, and pricing before ordering.

Adding a cashless payment system can give customers another way to pay. It can also help an operator modernize an existing vending location without replacing the entire beverage machine.

DEX Protocol Compatibility

The Dixie Narco 501E is listed as compatible with the DEX protocol.

DEX is commonly used in vending to support electronic data exchange between vending equipment and compatible management or collection systems. This can be useful for operators who want more information about machine activity.

Data can help an operator review sales activity, understand product movement, and make better stocking decisions. Instead of relying only on visual inspection, operators can use available machine data as part of their route management process.

DEX compatibility is especially useful for vending operators who manage multiple machines. As a route grows, tracking product movement and sales information can become more important.

Refurbished Commercial Vending Machine

This Dixie Narco 501E is sold as a refurbished item. Refurbished vending equipment can offer operators a way to purchase commercial-grade equipment without buying a brand-new machine.

Refurbished equipment is commonly selected by vending operators who want to control equipment costs while still using a full-size commercial machine.

Vending World explains that its machines are refurbished and that its process is intended to prepare used vending equipment for continued commercial service. The company also lists a 90-day limited parts warranty on refurbished vending machines. Warranty terms and exclusions should be reviewed before purchase.

Because this is a refurbished machine, buyers should understand that cosmetic appearance can vary from a new machine. The purpose of refurbishment is to restore the machine for service rather than present it as factory-new equipment.

Why Choose a Refurbished Dixie Narco 501E?

Commercial vending equipment can represent a significant equipment expense. A full-size beverage machine includes the cabinet, refrigeration system, delivery system, control electronics, payment equipment, and other components.

Buying refurbished can reduce the initial equipment cost compared with purchasing certain new commercial machines.

For new vending operators, this can be important. Starting with equipment that fits the expected sales volume may help control the initial investment.

Experienced operators may also choose refurbished equipment when expanding a route. A refurbished machine can be used to add capacity to an existing location without requiring the same type of equipment budget as a new machine.

Full-Size Commercial Format

The 501E is a full-size commercial vending machine. Its listed dimensions are 72 inches high, 37 inches wide, and 35 inches deep.

Its listed weight is approximately 875 pounds.

Because this is a large and heavy machine, installation should be planned carefully. Buyers should measure the delivery path before purchase.

Check the Delivery Area

  • Measure door openings.
  • Measure hallways.
  • Check elevators and ramps.
  • Review stairs and turns.
  • Measure the final installation space.
  • Confirm electrical access.
  • Plan the unloading process.
  • Make sure the floor can support the equipment.

Planning these details before delivery can help prevent delays.

Where Can the Dixie Narco 501E Be Used?

A full-size cold drink vending machine can serve many types of locations. The right location depends on traffic, customer demand, available space, electrical service, security, and the agreement between the vending operator and the property owner.

Office Buildings

Employees often want convenient access to cold beverages during the workday. A vending machine can provide drinks without requiring employees to leave the property.

The nine-selection format allows the operator to create a beverage mix for the office population.

Warehouses

Warehouses and distribution facilities can be strong candidates for full-size beverage equipment because employees may spend long periods on site.

A large machine can also reduce the need for frequent restocking when demand is consistent.

Manufacturing Facilities

Manufacturing locations can benefit from convenient beverage access for employees working different shifts.

Before installation, the operator should review traffic patterns and determine the best location for visibility and customer access.

Apartment Communities

Large residential properties may have demand for convenient beverages. A vending machine can be placed in a clubhouse, recreation area, laundry area, or another approved location.

Auto Service Facilities

Customers and employees at automotive businesses may spend time waiting for service. A cold drink machine can add another convenience to the property.

Recreation Facilities

Gyms, sports facilities, community centers, and recreation areas can have steady beverage demand.

The product mix should match the people who use the facility.

Retail and Service Businesses

Retail locations, service businesses, and other commercial properties may also use vending equipment when there is sufficient customer or employee traffic.

Capacity and Restocking

With a listed capacity of 471+ 12 oz cans, this Dixie Narco 501E provides substantial beverage storage.

Capacity matters because vending operators must balance product availability with service time. An undersized machine may require frequent visits. A properly sized machine can hold more inventory between visits.

However, maximum capacity does not mean every location should be filled with every possible product. Operators should stock based on actual demand.

Fast-selling selections may need frequent replenishment. Slow-moving selections may need less inventory.

Sales information can help the operator determine how many products to load into each selection during a service visit.

Planning a Product Mix

The nine selections provide a starting point for building a beverage assortment.

An operator might divide selections based on the needs of the location. The exact mix should be determined by customer demand, product availability, pricing, and vending agreements.

Product Mix Factors

  • Customer age range.
  • Work schedule.
  • Location traffic.
  • Local beverage demand.
  • Wholesale product cost.
  • Selling price.
  • Seasonal demand.
  • Available storage.
  • Competitor pricing.
  • Historical sales.

A good vending route is rarely built by guessing alone. Operators can improve their product mix by reviewing what customers actually buy.

Visibility and Customer Convenience

The curved front of the Dixie Narco 501E gives the machine a recognizable commercial beverage appearance.

Placement is important. A machine hidden behind equipment may receive fewer purchases than a machine placed where customers naturally walk.

Good vending placement usually considers visibility, traffic flow, lighting, security, and ease of access.

Customers should be able to see the machine and approach it without obstacles.

Payment Flexibility

Payment options are an important part of modern vending.

This machine is listed with coin acceptance and $1 bill acceptance. It is also capable of accepting a compatible credit card reader, although the reader is not included with the machine as listed.

Providing several payment choices can make the machine useful to customers with different payment habits.

Cash Payments

Coins and $1 bills provide traditional cash options.

Cashless Payments

A compatible card reader can provide a cashless payment option. Buyers interested in this setup should verify compatibility before purchasing the reader.

Understanding “Credit Card Capable”

It is important not to confuse credit card capable with credit card reader included.

This product is listed as credit card capable. The product page specifically states that the machine does not include a credit card reader. Instead, the electronics are new enough to accept an appropriate reader.

Customers who want cashless operation should plan for the additional reader and any required installation service.

This distinction is important when comparing vending machines. A machine that is ready for a reader may still require additional hardware before customers can pay with cards.

DEX Data Capability

DEX compatibility provides another useful feature for vending operators.

As vending routes become larger, operators may need better ways to track machine activity. Electronic data can help provide useful information for route management when paired with compatible systems.

Sales data can help identify which selections move quickly and which products move slowly. Operators can then adjust inventory and service schedules.

Route Management Benefits

A commercial vending machine is part of a larger route operation. The machine itself is only one part of the business.

Operators must manage products, locations, service schedules, equipment maintenance, payment systems, collections, customer service, and inventory.

The 501E's capacity and DEX capability can support an organized route-management approach.

Simple Route Workflow

  1. Review machine activity.
  2. Check inventory needs.
  3. Prepare products before leaving the warehouse.
  4. Visit the location.
  5. Inspect the machine.
  6. Restock products.
  7. Check payment equipment.
  8. Review the machine display and operation.
  9. Clean the customer-facing area.
  10. Record service notes.

A consistent service routine can help reduce missed problems and unnecessary return visits.

Commercial Beverage Vending

The Dixie Narco 501E is designed around a familiar beverage vending format. Customers choose a selection, make a payment, and receive a can through the machine's dispensing system.

The full-size design gives operators more storage than small vending equipment. The nine selections provide room for a broad beverage offering.

This format is especially useful when a location has enough traffic to support a larger machine.

Why Machine Capacity Matters

Capacity affects how often an operator needs to service a machine.

Suppose two locations have similar daily sales. A smaller machine may reach empty selections faster. A larger machine can provide more product between service visits.

The 501E's listed capacity of 471+ 12 oz cans provides substantial storage for a beverage route.

Operators should still monitor actual sales. Capacity should support demand rather than encourage overstocking.

Refurbished Equipment and Value

Buying refurbished equipment is one way to enter or expand a vending business while managing equipment costs.

New commercial equipment can require a large upfront investment. Refurbished equipment can offer a different cost structure.

Vending World specifically describes refurbished machines as an option for operators who want commercial-grade machines at a lower equipment cost than certain new machines.

The right choice depends on the operator's budget, location, expected sales, equipment requirements, and long-term plans.

Dixie Narco Brand and 501E Platform

Dixie Narco is a well-known name in the vending industry. The 501E is a commercial beverage vending machine platform used for cold drink applications.

The 501E format has features that are useful for route operators. These include multiple selections, cash acceptance, flexible pricing, large product capacity, and compatibility with vending data systems.

The Pepsi New Age Ultra version combines those vending features with a branded exterior presentation.

Installation Planning

A machine of this size and weight requires careful delivery planning.

Before ordering, measure the entire path from the delivery point to the final location. This includes doors, hallways, corners, elevators, ramps, and other tight areas.

The listed dimensions are 72 inches high, 37 inches wide, and 35 inches deep. The listed weight is 875 pounds.

Because of the machine's weight, professional moving equipment or experienced vending equipment movers may be appropriate.

Installation Checklist

  • Confirm available floor space.
  • Measure all access doors.
  • Measure hallway clearance.
  • Check elevator dimensions if applicable.
  • Plan the route from the truck to the machine location.
  • Confirm electrical access.
  • Check the location for adequate ventilation.
  • Keep the customer access area clear.
  • Confirm the property owner approves the placement.

Electrical Planning

Cold drink vending machines require electrical service for refrigeration and machine operation. Buyers should confirm the machine's electrical requirements before installation.

The final installation site should have a suitable electrical outlet and enough clearance around the machine for safe operation and service.

Do not install vending equipment in a location where the power supply is unsuitable or where the machine cannot be safely serviced.

Maintenance Planning

Regular maintenance is important for any commercial vending machine.

A service routine should include cleaning, inspection, payment-system checks, product delivery checks, and refrigeration checks.

Basic Maintenance Areas

  • Customer-facing surfaces.
  • Selection buttons.
  • Display area.
  • Coin mechanism.
  • Bill acceptor.
  • Product delivery area.
  • Cabinet interior.
  • Refrigeration system.
  • Door seals.
  • Electrical connections.
  • Product columns.

Maintenance requirements can vary by machine condition, location, usage, and environment.

Cleaning the Machine

Keeping a vending machine clean helps create a better customer experience.

The exterior can collect fingerprints, dust, dirt, and spills. The customer interface should be checked during every service visit.

Product spills should be cleaned promptly. The dispensing area should also be inspected for cans, debris, or damaged products.

Operators should follow safe cleaning practices and avoid getting liquids into electrical components.

Stocking the 501E

Stocking should be organized and consistent.

When refilling the machine, operators can rotate older products toward the front and place newer inventory behind them when appropriate. This can help manage product freshness.

Operators should also inspect cans before placing them into the machine. Damaged, leaking, badly dented, or otherwise unsuitable cans should not be sold.

Product Rotation

Good product rotation is part of professional vending service.

Operators should monitor product dates according to the requirements of the beverages they stock. The correct rotation method can vary by product.

Fast-moving selections may require more frequent restocking. Slow-moving selections should be monitored so that inventory does not remain in the machine longer than necessary.

Pricing Strategy

The multi-price feature gives operators flexibility when setting prices for individual selections.

Pricing should be based on the operator's costs and the location's market conditions.

Operators may need to consider:

  • Wholesale beverage cost.
  • Location commission.
  • Credit card processing costs.
  • Fuel and route costs.
  • Maintenance costs.
  • Equipment costs.
  • Product spoilage.
  • Local competition.
  • Customer demand.

A vending operator should review prices periodically rather than setting them once and ignoring them.

Cashless Payment Considerations

If a compatible card reader is added, the operator should consider the costs associated with cashless vending.

These may include transaction fees, equipment fees, connectivity costs, and service fees depending on the payment system selected.

The reader should also be compatible with the vending machine's electronics and configuration.

Because this machine is listed as credit card capable but does not include a reader, buyers should confirm all required hardware before ordering.

DEX and Inventory Management

DEX capability can support better record keeping for vending operators who use compatible systems.

Inventory management becomes more important as the number of machines in a route increases.

An operator managing one machine may be able to inspect sales manually. An operator managing dozens of machines may benefit from electronic data and route-management tools.

The 501E's DEX capability can therefore be useful as part of a larger vending management setup.

Choosing the Right Location

The machine's performance depends heavily on where it is placed.

A large-capacity beverage machine needs enough customer traffic to justify its footprint and inventory.

Location Questions

  • How many people visit the location each day?
  • How long do people remain at the location?
  • Are beverages already available nearby?
  • Is there a convenient place for the machine?
  • Is electrical service available?
  • Is the machine visible?
  • Is the location secure?
  • Who will handle access during service visits?
  • What products do customers want?
  • What payment methods do customers prefer?

These questions can help determine whether a full-size machine is appropriate for a specific account.

Employee Break Rooms

Break rooms can be useful vending locations because employees often remain on site for several hours.

A beverage machine can provide a convenient option during breaks.

The nine selections can be configured around the preferences of the workforce.

Warehouse Break Areas

Warehouse employees may work long shifts and may not have easy access to nearby stores.

A large cold drink vending machine can provide convenient beverage access inside the facility.

The 471+ can capacity provides significant storage for locations with consistent beverage demand.

Customer-Facing Locations

Businesses that have customers waiting on site may also consider beverage vending.

Examples include automotive service centers, repair businesses, recreational facilities, and other locations where people spend time waiting.

Placement should never interfere with emergency exits, required walkways, or accessibility requirements.

Commercial Appearance

The Pepsi New Age Ultra presentation gives the machine a branded appearance. The curved front also provides a familiar commercial vending look.

Appearance can matter because vending machines are visible pieces of equipment. A clean, organized machine can fit better into a professional business environment.

Refurbished Does Not Mean Small or Light-Duty

It is important to distinguish refurbished condition from machine size or commercial design.

This is a full-size commercial beverage machine. Its refurbished status means the equipment has been previously used and prepared for resale.

The machine is not a small countertop vending unit. It is approximately 875 pounds and measures 72 inches high by 37 inches wide by 35 inches deep.

Commercial Equipment for Growing Routes

Vending operators often grow by adding machines one location at a time.

A full-size beverage machine can be used when a location has enough demand to justify larger equipment.

As a route expands, consistent machine models can also simplify operator training and service routines.

The Dixie Narco 501E format provides familiar beverage vending features that can fit into a broader commercial route.

Why Nine Selections Matter

Nine selections offer a balance between product variety and machine organization.

An operator can assign each selection based on demand. The exact configuration is flexible.

For example, an operator might dedicate several selections to high-demand beverages and use the remaining selections for additional variety.

Sales reports can then help the operator decide which selections should receive more inventory.

Large Capacity for High-Use Locations

The 471+ can capacity makes this model particularly relevant for locations where beverage sales can justify a larger machine.

Capacity is useful because it can reduce the frequency of emergency restocking.

However, operators should avoid assuming that every location needs maximum capacity. The right machine size should match the sales volume of the location.

Service Efficiency

Vending service is more than simply adding products.

During each visit, the operator should inspect the machine, clean visible areas, check product delivery, review payment equipment, and identify possible issues.

A structured service routine can help keep machines operating properly and reduce customer complaints.

Customer Experience

A successful vending machine should be simple for customers to use.

Customers should be able to identify selections, understand prices, choose a beverage, make payment, and retrieve their product without confusion.

The 501E's multi-price setup allows different products to have different prices. Coins and $1 bills provide cash payment choices. A compatible cashless reader can be added for operators who want a card payment option.

What Buyers Should Know Before Ordering

Before purchasing a large refurbished vending machine, buyers should review the product details carefully.

  • Confirm the machine model.
  • Confirm the product capacity.
  • Confirm dimensions.
  • Confirm electrical requirements.
  • Confirm payment equipment.
  • Remember that the credit card reader is not included.
  • Confirm current availability.
  • Confirm delivery requirements.
  • Review warranty terms.
  • Measure the installation location.

Current Product Status

The product page currently lists this specific SKU as out of stock and provides a notification option for customers who want to know when it becomes available. Availability can change, so buyers should check the product page before placing an order.

SKU Information

The listed SKU is C501EBPUV-B-RATED.

Using the exact SKU when contacting the seller can help reduce confusion between different Dixie Narco 501E configurations.

The 501E family may appear in different graphic packages and configurations, so buyers should compare the exact listing rather than relying only on the model number.

Dixie Narco 501E vs. Smaller Vending Machines

A full-size machine offers a different operating model than a small vending unit.

Small machines may be easier to move, but they generally have less product capacity. A large commercial machine requires more planning, but it can hold significantly more product.

Feature Dixie Narco 501E Small Vending Unit
Machine Type Full-size commercial beverage Typically compact
Listed Capacity 471+ 12 oz cans Usually much smaller
Selections 9 Varies
DEX Compatible Varies
Payment Coins and $1 bills; card capable Varies

Planning for Vending Business Growth

Operators should think about more than the purchase price when choosing equipment.

A machine should fit the location, product demand, service schedule, payment needs, and route structure.

The Dixie Narco 501E offers features that can support a commercial route. Its large capacity can help with inventory management. Its nine selections provide product variety. Its multi-price system provides pricing flexibility. DEX capability can support data collection.

These features do not guarantee sales. Location quality and customer demand remain important factors in vending performance.

Using Sales Data to Improve the Product Mix

Once a machine is operating, sales information can guide product decisions.

If one selection sells much faster than another, the operator can investigate why.

Possible reasons include product popularity, price, customer preferences, seasonality, or competition.

Operators can use this information to make future stocking decisions.

Seasonal Beverage Planning

Beverage demand can change throughout the year.

Warm weather may increase cold drink demand in some locations. Winter demand may follow different patterns.

Operators can monitor sales by month and adjust inventory levels accordingly.

The multi-price feature can also provide flexibility when different products have different costs.

Preventive Maintenance

Preventive maintenance is an important part of commercial vending.

Rather than waiting for a machine to fail, operators can inspect common trouble areas during normal service visits.

Preventive Maintenance Checklist

  • Inspect the cabinet.
  • Check the door seal.
  • Inspect product delivery.
  • Check selection buttons.
  • Test payment equipment.
  • Inspect the display.
  • Clean the interior as needed.
  • Check refrigeration operation.
  • Look for unusual noises.
  • Check for leaks or spills.
  • Review service data.

Maintenance should be performed by qualified personnel when electrical or refrigeration work is required.

Machine Security

Vending equipment contains products and payment equipment, so location security matters.

Operators should select a secure installation site whenever possible.

The machine should be positioned where authorized personnel can service it while customers can access it safely.

Property owners and vending operators should also agree on responsibility for the machine and the surrounding area.

Space Requirements

The listed machine footprint is approximately 37 inches wide by 35 inches deep. The machine stands approximately 72 inches tall.

When planning installation, buyers should leave additional room for service access. Do not measure only the exact cabinet dimensions.

Technicians may need room to open doors and access components.

Customer Accessibility

Vending machines should be installed in a location where customers can safely approach and operate the machine.

Operators should consider local accessibility requirements, property rules, fire codes, electrical rules, and other applicable requirements before installation.

Shipping and Delivery Planning

A machine weighing approximately 875 pounds requires careful delivery planning.

Buyers should confirm the delivery service, unloading requirements, and final placement process before shipment.

It is helpful to identify who will receive the machine and who will move it into the final location.

Refurbished Machine Warranty

Vending World states that refurbished vending machines come with a 90-day limited parts warranty. Buyers should review the full warranty terms for coverage, exclusions, claim procedures, and other conditions.

A warranty does not eliminate the need for routine maintenance. Proper service can help keep commercial vending equipment in good operating condition.

Vending World Support

The product listing identifies Vending World as the seller of this refurbished Dixie Narco machine. The company lists its facility in Rancho Cucamonga, California, along with contact information on the product page.

Customers should contact Vending World for current stock status, shipping details, payment equipment options, warranty questions, and configuration questions.

Questions About Credit Card Installation

Because the machine is credit card capable but does not include a card reader, buyers who want cashless payment should plan ahead.

The product listing identifies independent installation specialists and notes that installation involves an additional cost paid directly to the installer.

Customers should confirm the current installer information before relying on any contact details listed on an older product page.

Why the 501E Format Works for Beverage Vending

The 501E combines several useful vending features in one commercial machine.

  • Large 12 oz can capacity.
  • Nine selections.
  • Multi-price operation.
  • Coin acceptance.
  • $1 bill acceptance.
  • Credit card reader capability.
  • DEX compatibility.
  • Curved front design.
  • Pepsi New Age Ultra graphics.
  • Refurbished commercial construction.

These features make the machine suitable for operators who need more than a small or basic beverage vending unit.

Simple Operation for Customers

Vending should be easy for customers to understand.

A typical transaction starts when a customer approaches the machine and chooses a beverage selection. The customer then inserts the required payment. After the transaction is accepted, the selected product is delivered to the customer.

The machine's nine selections allow the operator to provide several beverage choices from one cabinet.

Simple Operation for Operators

For the operator, the process is more involved.

Operators must maintain inventory, service the machine, manage payments, monitor sales, and keep the equipment clean.

The 501E's commercial format is intended for this type of vending operation.

Potential Benefits of the Pepsi New Age Ultra Theme

Branded graphics can help a beverage machine look more connected to the products it offers.

Customers can recognize the machine quickly, especially in locations where several pieces of equipment are present.

The Pepsi New Age Ultra theme provides a recognizable beverage-focused appearance while retaining the commercial Dixie Narco 501E platform.

Refurbished Equipment and Sustainability

Choosing refurbished equipment also extends the useful life of existing commercial machinery.

Instead of sending an older machine directly out of service, refurbishment can prepare it for continued use.

For operators, this can provide another equipment option. For the equipment itself, refurbishment can keep a commercial vending cabinet in productive service longer.

Who Should Consider This Machine?

This machine may be appropriate for vending operators who need a full-size beverage machine with significant can capacity.

It may also be relevant for operators who want multiple selections and flexible pricing without purchasing a brand-new machine.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?

Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability

New vs Refurbished

We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.

According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.

Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:

  • Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
  • Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
  • Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700

(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)

As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.

Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.

Start small and grow as you can afford it.

Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.

All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.

Small mechanical machines have two main problems:

  • They don't make change or accept dollar bills
  • They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff

Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.

A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
