Dixie Narco Model 501E 12oz Can USA Flag Graphics Vending Machine
The Dixie Narco Model 501E 12oz Can USA Flag Graphics Vending Machine is a refurbished commercial beverage vending machine designed for dependable drink vending in busy locations. With its eye-catching USA flag graphics, curved front design, large capacity, and flexible payment options, this machine can be a practical addition to a vending route, workplace, business, facility, or other high-traffic location.
The Model 501E is configured for 12 oz cans and can hold approximately 471 cans. It features nine selections, allowing operators to offer several beverage choices from one machine. The machine can also be configured for larger beverage packages with the proper shims, providing additional flexibility when your product mix changes.
Classic Dixie Narco 501E Design
The Dixie Narco 501E has long been used for commercial beverage vending because of its practical layout and durable construction. This refurbished unit combines the proven 501E platform with updated exterior graphics, a new sign, and new side decals.
The USA flag graphics give the machine a distinctive appearance. This design can work especially well in locations where an American-themed presentation fits the surroundings, including community facilities, workplaces, recreational areas, retail locations, and other public-facing spaces.
The curved front gives the machine a traditional soda vending appearance while helping it stand out from ordinary equipment. Its full-size commercial construction is intended for locations where a higher-capacity beverage machine is needed.
High-Capacity 12 oz Can Vending
One of the biggest advantages of the Dixie Narco 501E is its large product capacity. The machine is designed to hold approximately 471 12 oz cans, helping reduce the frequency of restocking compared with smaller vending machines.
The machine includes 9 selections, giving customers multiple beverage choices. Operators can use the selections for different soda flavors, water, energy drinks, sports drinks, or other compatible beverages.
- Approximately 471 capacity for 12 oz cans
- 9 product selections
- Configured for 12 oz cans
- Can accommodate larger packages with appropriate shims
- Large delivery area for convenient product retrieval
- Suitable for a wide range of cold beverage products
Flexible Beverage Configuration
Although this machine is listed as a 12 oz can model, the Dixie Narco 501E platform provides flexibility for operators who want to change their product mix. With the correct shims, the machine can vend approximately 278 20 oz PET or glass bottles.
This flexibility can be useful as customer preferences change. An operator can begin with a traditional 12 oz can selection and later consider larger bottles when the location calls for them. Always use the appropriate configuration and components for the beverage package being sold.
The ability to adjust the machine for different package sizes makes the 501E useful for vending operators who want equipment that can adapt to different accounts and product strategies.
Multi-Price Vending Capability
The Dixie Narco Model 501E supports multi-price vending. This allows an operator to assign different prices to different selections instead of charging the same price for every beverage.
For example, an operator may choose different prices for standard soft drinks, premium beverages, energy drinks, bottled water, or other products. Multi-price functionality gives vending operators more control over pricing and product selection.
Coin and Dollar Bill Acceptance
This refurbished Model 501E is equipped to accept both coins and $1 bills. Offering multiple payment methods makes the machine familiar and convenient for customers who prefer traditional cash transactions.
The machine also uses modern vending electronics and is credit-card capable. Please note that credit-card capable does not mean that a credit-card reader is included with the machine. The machine's electronics can support an appropriate cashless payment reader, which can be added separately.
Adding a compatible cashless payment system can give customers another way to purchase beverages while helping operators modernize an established vending location.
DEX and MDB Compatibility
The Dixie Narco 501E uses MDB protocol and supports DEX technology. These features are useful for operators who want equipment that can work with modern vending management and payment systems.
DEX can support electronic vending data collection, helping operators monitor machine information when used with compatible equipment or software. MDB compatibility also supports communication between the vending machine controller and compatible payment components.
- MDB-compatible electronics
- DEX protocol support
- Multi-price capability
- Compatible with appropriate cashless payment technology
- Designed for commercial vending applications
Built for Commercial Vending Locations
The Model 501E is a full-size commercial beverage vending machine. It measures approximately 72 inches high, 37 inches wide, and 35 inches deep. The shipping weight is approximately 865 pounds.
Because of its size and weight, proper planning is important before delivery and installation. Make sure the intended location has enough room for the machine, customer access, service access, and safe movement during installation.
The machine's substantial construction makes it suitable for a variety of commercial environments. It can be considered for offices, factories, apartment communities, schools and facilities where permitted, recreational areas, retail businesses, warehouses, and other locations with regular beverage demand.
Refurbished and Ready for a Vending Route
This Dixie Narco 501E is sold as a refurbished vending machine. Refurbished equipment can provide vending operators with access to commercial-grade equipment without requiring the same investment associated with purchasing new equipment.
The unit includes a new sign and new side decals, helping give the machine a refreshed exterior appearance. The USA flag graphics provide a distinctive visual presentation while the 501E platform provides the capacity and functionality expected from a full-size beverage machine.
Vending operators should inspect the machine upon arrival and follow the recommended setup and maintenance procedures. Proper cleaning, stocking, temperature management, and routine service can help keep a beverage vending machine operating effectively.
Why Choose the Dixie Narco 501E?
The Dixie Narco 501E combines high capacity, flexible beverage options, traditional cash acceptance, and compatibility with modern vending technology. Its nine selections provide room for a varied beverage lineup, while the large 12 oz can capacity can reduce the number of restocking trips required at a busy location.
The USA flag graphics also give this machine a unique appearance compared with standard beverage equipment. For an operator looking for a commercial beverage vending machine with a recognizable design, the Model 501E offers a practical combination of appearance and functionality.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
