Dixie Narco Shim for 2145, 5591 – Spacer (155/530) #801821670.01
Keep your Dixie Narco beverage vending machine properly configured with this Dixie Narco 155/530 Specialty Shim. Designed for specific beverage vending applications, this new shim is made for use with compatible Dixie Narco 5591 and DN5000 machines as well as Dixie Narco 2145 machines with tall gates. The manufacturer part number associated with this shim is 801821670.01. It is an important small component for vending operators who need the correct spacing and product support inside compatible beverage machines.
Vending machine shims may be small compared with major machine components, but selecting the correct shim can have a direct effect on how products are positioned and dispensed. Beverage machines depend on properly configured product spaces so cans and bottles can move through the vending mechanism as intended. Using the correct specialty shim helps operators maintain the configuration required for their particular machine and product setup.

Designed for Compatible Dixie Narco Machines
This 155/530 shim is intended for specific Dixie Narco vending machine configurations. According to the product information, it fits the Dixie Narco 5591 and DN5000 and can also be used with the Dixie Narco 2145 when equipped with tall gates. Because Dixie Narco machines can use a variety of shim sizes and configurations, it is important to verify the application before ordering.
The 5591 and related BevMax-style machines can support different beverage package sizes and configurations. That flexibility is useful for vending operators, but it also means that the correct internal parts must be selected for the particular setup. A specialty shim such as this one is intended for a specific application rather than being a universal replacement for every Dixie Narco shim.
Why the Correct Shim Matters
A beverage vending machine must hold products in the correct position throughout the vending cycle. If a component is incorrectly sized or installed, products may not sit in the intended position. This can contribute to dispensing problems, product movement issues, or the need for additional machine adjustments.
The correct shim provides the spacing required for its intended configuration. When replacing a worn, missing, damaged, or incorrectly sized shim, using the appropriate part number can help restore the machine to the intended setup. This is particularly useful for vending operators maintaining older machines and keeping them productive instead of replacing an entire machine because of a relatively small component.
A Practical Replacement Part
This Dixie Narco 155/530 shim is a practical choice when maintaining compatible beverage vending equipment. Small parts can be easy to overlook during routine maintenance, yet having the proper replacement available can help reduce downtime when a machine requires service.
For vending businesses operating multiple machines, keeping commonly needed replacement parts in inventory can also simplify maintenance. Rather than waiting to identify and source a part after a machine develops an issue, operators can maintain a small parts supply for routine repairs and adjustments.
Important Compatibility Information
Dixie Narco produces many different shims for BevMax-style machines. The available configurations are not interchangeable simply because they are all described as shims. The correct size and application depend on the vending machine configuration and the products being dispensed.
Vending World notes that Dixie Narco makes more than 40 different shim types for the 2145 and 5591-style vendors. This means operators should carefully compare the required part number and application before purchasing. This particular product is identified as the 155/530 specialty shim with manufacturer part number 801821670.01.
If you are uncertain about which shim your machine requires, verify the existing component, machine model, gate configuration, and product setup before ordering. For custom applications, having the original Dixie Narco part number can make identifying the correct replacement much easier.
Fits Dixie Narco 5591 and DN5000
The Dixie Narco 5591 is known for its flexible beverage vending configuration. Different shims can allow compatible vending systems to accommodate different product sizes. The DN5000 is also listed as a compatible application for this particular 155/530 shim.
For operators servicing these machines, matching the replacement part to the correct configuration is an important part of preventative maintenance. Rather than selecting a shim based only on its appearance, use the listed machine compatibility and manufacturer part number as your primary reference.
For Dixie Narco 2145 Machines with Tall Gates
This specialty shim is also listed for use with Dixie Narco 2145 machines with tall gates. The tall-gate configuration is important because the same vending machine model may have different internal configurations depending on the machine's components and intended products.
If your 2145 has tall gates, compare the existing shim and its identification information with the specifications for this product before ordering. Confirming compatibility in advance can help avoid purchasing an incorrect shim.
New Replacement Part
This product is supplied as a new part. A new replacement component can be useful when an existing shim is missing, damaged, worn, or no longer suitable for the machine's current setup.
Replacing a small component can be a practical part of maintaining vending equipment. Regular inspection of internal machine parts can help operators identify components that need attention before they interfere with normal vending operations. When replacing any vending machine part, follow appropriate service procedures and make sure the machine is safely prepared for maintenance.
Ideal for Vending Machine Maintenance
Whether you operate a single beverage machine or maintain a larger vending route, having access to the right replacement parts makes equipment maintenance easier. The Dixie Narco 155/530 shim is suited to operators working with compatible 2145, 5591, and DN5000 equipment.
It can be particularly useful for vending technicians, route operators, machine refurbishers, and businesses that maintain older Dixie Narco beverage equipment. Keeping the correct small parts available can reduce the time required to complete repairs and machine adjustments.
Installation and Maintenance Considerations
Before installing a replacement shim, compare it with the component being replaced and verify that the dimensions and part number match your machine's requirements. If the machine is currently configured for a particular beverage product, confirm that the shim is appropriate for that setup as well.
After installation, inspect the surrounding components and verify that products are positioned correctly. A replacement shim should be installed as part of the machine's intended configuration rather than used as a substitute for an incorrectly sized component.
Why Order the Correct Dixie Narco Part?
Choosing a manufacturer-specific replacement part helps simplify the maintenance process. Instead of modifying a generic component or attempting to adapt an unrelated shim, operators can use a part identified for the intended Dixie Narco application.
The 801821670.01 part number provides an important reference when ordering this shim. Keeping manufacturer part numbers with your maintenance records can also make future replacement-part searches faster, especially when servicing several machines with different configurations.
Ordering Information
Before placing an order, review your machine model, gate configuration, existing shim, and manufacturer part number. This product is specifically listed as a 155/530 specialty shim for compatible Dixie Narco equipment. Because multiple shim styles are available, ordering based only on the machine model may not be enough to determine the correct part.
Vending World specifically advises customers to read the product information before ordering because incorrect shim sizes are a common issue. The company also notes that its inventory represents commonly used shim sizes rather than every shim configuration manufactured for these machines.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
