The National 168 Millennium Style vending machine represents a perfect blend of modern technology and user-friendly design, engineered to meet the diverse needs of snack lovers and operators alike. With its robust features and customizable options, this machine stands out in the competitive world of vending solutions.

At its core, the National 168 is configured with 6 spacious shelves, providing ample room for a wide variety of snack options. This capacity allows operators to cater to different tastes and preferences by offering 28 to 32 selections, ensuring that customers have plenty of choices every time they use the machine. Among these shelves, one is dedicated exclusively to candy, enabling a clear and attractive presentation of sweet treats alongside savory snacks.

One of the most innovative aspects of the National 168 is its “Dual Spiral Snacks” mechanism. This design enhances product delivery reliability by incorporating two spirals per column for each snack selection, reducing jams and improving the efficiency of dispensing. This feature not only increases customer satisfaction but also decreases service calls and downtime for operators.

The machine boasts a 4-wide snack dispensing arrangement, which means it has four rows of snacks side by side in each shelf. This configuration helps maximize space utilization without compromising product visibility or accessibility. Whether it's chips, cookies, or crackers, the 4-wide layout accommodates various snack sizes smoothly.

Payment flexibility is another strong point of the National 168 Millennium Style. Equipped with a coin mechanism that uses a 5-tube coin system, the machine can accept a wide range of coin denominations, streamlining the payment process for customers. In addition, the bill validator supports both $1 and $5 bills, making it convenient for users who prefer cash transactions.

For electronic payment methods, the National 168 includes a MDB PC board that facilitates integration with various credit card readers and cashless payment technologies. This board also supports the DEX protocol, which is essential for operators who want to collect detailed transaction and inventory data remotely. The inclusion of DEX compatibility enhances operational efficiency, allowing for better route planning and inventory management.

Lighting within the vending machine has been designed with customer appeal and energy efficiency in mind. The incorporation of LED bulb lighting ensures that all products are brightly illuminated, making them easy to see even in low-light environments. LED lights consume less power than traditional bulbs and have a longer lifespan, reducing maintenance costs for operators.

The machine's credit card capability is an optional feature that significantly broadens its usability. When equipped, it accepts major credit cards, enabling cashless purchases that align with current consumer payment trends. This feature can be customized depending on the operator’s preference and market requirements, allowing for flexible deployment across various locations.

Designed with the operator and consumer in mind, the National 168 Millennium Style vending machine combines quantity, quality, and advanced technology. Its comprehensive features—from the well-organized shelving system and dual spiral dispensing to versatile payment options and energy-saving lighting—make it an excellent choice for any high-traffic venue looking to provide a satisfying and convenient snacking experience.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?

Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability

New vs Refurbished

We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned. We no longer sell new for the following reason: According to a recent survey of vending operators about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts do not make enough revenue to warrant the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts. Typical cost on new 'commercial grade' machines run as much as: Can drink $3400-$4800, Snack $3600-$4500, Cold food $7200-$8500, as you can see quite high compared to used or refurbished. Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing, not including sales tax or shipping in some cases. Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.

Start small and grow as you can afford it.

Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge. This can hurt you financially if you are not careful. All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months. There are two main problems with the small mechanical machines. One problem is the machine does not make change or take dollar bills. The second problem is that the machine will 'work you to death'. Most of these machines hold under 100 products and can only gross $40 to $50 at a time, if the entire machine empties out. This is only the gross, the profit is less than 1/2 of that amount. A full size commercial machine on the other hand usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250 to $500. Remember you spend the most time driving to the location so you might as well fill 500 products as soon as 50.
