Royal Vending 7 Blade Evaporator Fan (Refurbished)

Royal Vending 7-Blade Evaporator Fan (Refurbished) is a replacement airflow component for select Royal refrigerated drink vending machines. It helps move air through the evaporator area so the cooling system can distribute cold air inside the cabinet. If a fan has failed, makes unusual noise, or does not move air as expected, a correctly matched replacement may be part of the repair.
This fan assembly is listed under SKU REF7BL and part number 5SME58AAF1007B. The published specifications identify clockwise rotation, 36 watts, 1550 RPM, a seven-blade plastic fan, and refurbished condition. The product listing identifies Royal 550, 660, and 804 models as compatible. Confirm the exact machine configuration and the original part before ordering.

Why the Evaporator Fan Matters
The evaporator is the cold heat-exchange surface in a refrigerated vending machine. The evaporator fan moves cabinet air across that surface and helps carry cooled air to the product storage area. Good airflow supports even cooling. Weak airflow can leave warm spots even when other parts of the refrigeration system are working.
The evaporator fan is not the same as the condenser fan. The condenser fan moves air around the heat-rejection side of the refrigeration system. This product is listed for the evaporator side. Identify the failed component before buying a replacement.
Key Reasons to Consider This Replacement
- Replace a confirmed failed or damaged evaporator fan in a compatible Royal machine.
- Match the published 5SME58AAF1007B identification when the original part calls for it.
- Use the published 36-watt and 1550-RPM ratings during part comparison.
- Check the clockwise rotation requirement before installation.
- Keep a refurbished spare available for a fleet of compatible Royal machines.
- Repair a serviceable machine instead of replacing equipment solely because of a failed fan.
How to Confirm the Right Part
- Record the complete vending machine model and serial number.
- Disconnect power before opening service areas.
- Find the part number and motor information on the existing fan assembly.
- Compare the existing fan's rotation, blade count, and blade orientation.
- Check the connector, wire count, mounting points, housing, and clearance.
- Confirm the voltage and other electrical details from the machine service documentation.
- Ask for part verification if any detail is unclear.
Understanding Airflow
Use these practical checks to make a more informed repair decision. The goal is to restore proper airflow without overlooking other cooling or electrical faults.
Airflow through the evaporator
This topic matters when selecting or servicing the Royal 7-blade evaporator fan. Start with the machine manual and the information printed on the installed assembly. A visual match is helpful, but it is not a substitute for matching electrical and mechanical requirements.
The replacement listed here is refurbished, with part number 5SME58AAF1007B, clockwise rotation, a 36-watt rating, and a rated speed of 1550 RPM. These are identification points, not a promise that the fan fits every version of a Royal vending machine.
Look for signs of rubbing, damaged wiring, loose mounting points, restricted airflow, or moisture near electrical connections. A fault elsewhere in the cooling system can create similar symptoms. Diagnose the cause before replacing parts.
Keep service work safe. Turn off and disconnect the machine before handling the fan or wiring. Capacitors and other electrical parts may retain energy. A qualified technician should handle electrical testing and repairs when the correct procedure is not known.
After a correct repair, confirm that the blade has adequate clearance and that the assembly runs without scraping or unusual vibration. Monitor cabinet temperature over a suitable period rather than assuming the repair is complete as soon as the motor starts.
- Confirm the original fan and machine information.
- Check for a clear mechanical or electrical mismatch.
- Record observations before and after service.

This topic matters when selecting or servicing the Royal 7-blade evaporator fan. Start with the machine manual and the information printed on the installed assembly. A visual match is helpful, but it is not a substitute for matching electrical and mechanical requirements.
- Confirm the original fan and machine information.
- Check for a clear mechanical or electrical mismatch.
- Record observations before and after service.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
