Royal Vendors 550 Coca-Cola Vending Machine
The Royal Vendors 550 Coca-Cola Vending Machine is a full-size commercial beverage machine designed for locations that need dependable drink vending and plenty of product capacity. This refurbished Royal Model 550 offers a familiar Coca-Cola design along with flexible product storage, multi-price vending, coin acceptance, $1 bill acceptance, and credit-card-reader compatibility.
With 10 columns and 7 selections, the Royal 550 gives vending operators room to build a beverage selection around the products customers want most. The machine can hold approximately 540+ 12 oz cans or 240+ 20 oz bottles, depending on the configuration. This makes it a practical choice for offices, apartment communities, warehouses, schools, retail locations, employee break rooms, and other high-traffic areas.
High-Capacity Beverage Vending
Capacity is important when choosing a commercial vending machine. A machine that needs constant refilling can increase service time and make route management harder. The Royal Vendors 550 is built as a full-size beverage machine and provides substantial storage in a single cabinet.
The standard configuration is listed with a capacity of more than 540 12 oz cans. The machine can also accommodate approximately 240 20 oz bottles. Operators can configure columns to match the beverages they plan to sell and the needs of their location.
This capacity can help reduce the number of restocking trips compared with smaller machines. Operators can use multiple columns for popular products while dedicating other selections to different flavors, brands, or beverage sizes.
10 Columns and 7 Selections
The Royal 550 features 10 columns and 7 selections. This setup gives operators flexibility when planning their product mix. Multiple columns can be assigned to fast-selling beverages, while other columns can be used for additional choices.
- 10 product columns
- 7 selections
- 540+ 12 oz cans
- 240+ 20 oz bottles
- Multi-price vending
Having multiple columns can also make inventory planning easier. If one beverage sells faster than another, the operator can dedicate additional space to that product. This allows the machine to be adjusted to the buying habits of the location.
Designed for Coca-Cola Beverage Vending
The Coca-Cola graphics give this Royal 550 a recognizable beverage vending appearance. Coca-Cola branding can make the machine easy for customers to identify when they are looking for a cold drink.
The machine can be used to offer a range of beverages that fit the available column configuration. Operators can create a product mix based on customer demand, location type, and available package sizes.
Whether the machine is placed in a workplace, warehouse, apartment complex, recreation facility, or other commercial setting, its full-size design provides the storage space needed for regular beverage vending.
Multi-Price Vending
The Royal Vendors 550 supports multi-price vending. This is useful when different beverages or package sizes have different selling prices.
Instead of treating every selection as the same price, operators can set pricing based on the products being offered. This provides greater flexibility when building a beverage menu.
Multi-price operation can be especially useful when a machine carries a mixture of products with different wholesale costs. Operators can organize the selections and pricing to match their vending strategy.
Coin and $1 Bill Acceptance
The Royal 550 is equipped to accept coins and $1 bills. These payment options give customers a familiar way to purchase beverages.
For vending operators, supporting both coins and bills can make the machine useful in locations where customers still prefer cash payments. The machine can also be upgraded with additional payment equipment when desired.
Credit Card Reader Capable
Cashless vending is an important option for many modern vending locations. The Royal Vendors 550 is credit card reader capable. This means the machine's electronics are new enough to accept a compatible credit card reader.
Please note: the credit card reader is not included as standard equipment. Vending World lists an optional E-Port credit card reader upgrade. Customers can choose an option for self-installation or arrange installation through an outside technician. Installation by an outside technician may involve an additional charge.
This upgrade gives operators the option to expand payment methods and provide customers with a cashless purchasing experience.
DEX Protocol
The Royal Vendors 550 supports DEX protocol. DEX is commonly used in vending operations for electronic data collection and machine reporting.
For vending operators managing multiple machines, electronic data can be useful when reviewing machine activity and planning service routes. DEX capability can also make the machine a practical addition to an established vending operation that uses compatible reporting systems.
Flexible Bottle Configuration
The Royal 550 can be configured for beverage products such as 12 oz cans and 20 oz bottles. Vending World also provides an option to convert columns for 20 oz bottles.
This flexibility can be helpful when customer demand changes. A location that sells mostly cans can be configured differently from a location where larger bottles are more popular.
Operators should select the appropriate configuration for their intended products before placing the machine into service. Product dimensions and column setup should always be checked to ensure compatibility.
Refurbished Commercial Vending Machine
This Royal Vendors 550 is sold as a refurbished vending machine. Refurbished equipment can provide operators with access to full-size commercial vending equipment without the cost associated with purchasing a new machine.
Vending World explains that its refurbished machines are intended for operators who want commercial equipment while keeping equipment costs under control. The company also notes that its machines are full-size commercial models rather than small countertop or basic mechanical vending machines.
For new vending operators, a refurbished machine can provide an opportunity to begin with commercial-grade equipment. Experienced operators can also use refurbished machines when expanding an existing route or replacing equipment.
Optional Upgrades
The Royal Vendors 550 can be ordered with several available upgrades. These options allow operators to customize the machine for their particular location.
- High-capacity coin mechanism and $5 bill upgrade
- High-capacity coin mechanism with $1, $5, $10, and $20 bill acceptance
- E-Port credit card reader
- LED lighting upgrade
The available options can help operators build a machine that matches their payment needs and operating environment. LED lighting is also available as an upgrade to replace the standard fluorescent bulbs.

Built for Commercial Locations
The Royal 550 has the size and capacity needed for commercial vending applications. At approximately 72 inches high, 31 inches wide, and 34 inches deep, it is designed for a dedicated vending area rather than a countertop.
Before purchasing, measure the planned installation area. Be sure there is enough room for the machine itself, delivery access, customer use, and routine service. The machine weighs approximately 536 pounds, so proper planning is important when moving and installing it.
Why Choose a Full-Size Beverage Machine?
A full-size beverage vending machine can be useful when a location has steady demand for cold drinks. Larger capacity means more products can be stored in one machine. Multiple columns also provide more flexibility when creating a product selection.
The Royal Vendors 550 combines those features with commercial payment equipment and DEX capability. Its Coca-Cola graphics also provide a familiar presentation that works well for beverage vending.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
