Royal Vendors 660 Coke Chameleon Ice Drink Vending Machine

The Royal Vendors 660 Coke Chameleon Ice vending machine is a full-size commercial beverage machine made for locations that need dependable cold drink service and plenty of product capacity.

This refurbished Royal Vendors machine combines a classic Coca-Cola look with a practical vending design. The Coke Chameleon Ice graphics give the machine a bold appearance that can stand out in break rooms, warehouses, laundromats, apartment communities, retail locations, and many other vending sites.

The Royal 660 is designed for operators who want capacity, flexibility, and simple product management. It can be configured for popular canned and bottled beverages. That gives you more freedom when building a drink menu for your customers.

This machine has 8 customer selections and 12 product columns. The extra columns make it possible to dedicate more than one column to high-selling drinks. This can help reduce sellouts between service visits.

The machine is also credit card capable. A credit card reader is not included with the machine. Credit card capable means the machine electronics can support compatible cashless vending equipment when properly installed.

If you need a commercial beverage machine for an established vending route, a new location, or a replacement for an older soda machine, the Royal Vendors 660 is a strong option to consider.

A Full-Size Commercial Cold Drink Vending Machine

The Royal Vendors 660 is not a small countertop dispenser. It is a full-size commercial drink vending machine built for regular vending use.

That difference matters.

A full-size beverage machine gives an operator room to stock a larger number of drinks. More capacity can mean fewer trips to refill the machine. It can also help keep popular products available during busy periods.

This is especially useful for vending routes where travel time is a major part of the service cost.

Instead of driving to a location every time a small machine runs low, an operator can take advantage of the larger capacity of the Royal 660. A properly planned product mix can help extend the time between service visits.

The machine can be a good fit for both experienced vending operators and buyers who are adding commercial vending service for the first time.

Eye-Catching Coke Chameleon Ice Graphics

Appearance matters in vending.

A vending machine is more than equipment. It is also a point-of-sale display. Customers see the machine before they make a purchase.

The Coke Chameleon Ice graphics give this Royal Vendors 660 a recognizable Coca-Cola-themed appearance. The graphics help communicate that cold beverages are available while giving the machine a professional commercial look.

Branded graphics can be especially useful in public or customer-facing locations.

The bright beverage-focused design can help the machine stand out from walls, equipment, and other fixtures around it.

Good Locations for Branded Beverage Graphics

The Coke Chameleon Ice appearance can work well in locations such as:

  • Office break rooms
  • Employee lunchrooms
  • Warehouses
  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Laundromats
  • Apartment communities
  • Auto repair shops
  • Waiting rooms
  • Retail stores
  • Recreation centers
  • Hotels and motels
  • Commercial buildings
  • Distribution centers
  • Service businesses
  • College facilities
  • Approved school locations
  • Transportation facilities
  • Vending route accounts

Always make sure the machine and graphics are suitable for the location where you plan to install it.

Large Beverage Capacity

Capacity is one of the main advantages of the Royal Vendors 660.

The machine is listed with a capacity of 660+ 12 oz cans when set up for that package size. It can also hold approximately 300+ 20 oz bottles in a suitable bottle configuration.

Actual operating capacity depends on the products being loaded and the way the machine is configured.

Large capacity can be valuable for locations with steady beverage demand.

It can also make route management easier.

Why Capacity Matters

Every service visit takes time.

An operator must drive to the location, enter the property, open the machine, collect money, restock products, check the payment equipment, inspect the refrigeration system, clean the machine, and then travel to the next stop.

A higher-capacity machine may help reduce how often some locations need to be visited.

This is especially useful when the location is far from the operator's warehouse or normal service route.

It can also help at busy accounts where popular drinks sell quickly.

8 Selections and 12 Product Columns

The Royal 660 provides 8 customer selections while using 12 product columns.

This design gives operators an important advantage.

Some selections can use more than one product column. That allows an operator to place additional inventory behind popular choices.

For example, a location may sell much more regular cola and bottled water than other drinks. Instead of giving every flavor the same amount of storage, the operator can dedicate additional capacity to the products that sell fastest.

This helps create a smarter product mix.

Build the Machine Around Customer Demand

Not every drink sells at the same rate.

A successful vending operator watches sales and adjusts the machine based on actual customer demand.

You might begin with a balanced drink menu and then make changes after several service cycles.

Possible beverage categories include:

  • Regular cola
  • Diet cola
  • Zero-sugar soda
  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Root beer
  • Orange soda
  • Bottled water
  • Sports drinks
  • Iced tea
  • Energy drinks
  • Other compatible packaged beverages

The exact products you can vend depend on package dimensions and machine setup.

Designed for Cans and Bottles

Beverage choices have changed over the years.

Customers may want traditional 12 oz soda cans, larger cans, bottled water, sports drinks, teas, and 20 oz soft drink bottles.

The Royal Vendors 660 gives operators useful flexibility when planning these products.

The machine can support several common beverage package sizes when correctly configured.

Common examples can include:

  • 12 oz beverage cans
  • 16 oz cans
  • 16.9 oz bottles
  • 20 oz bottles

Compatibility should always be checked before filling the machine with a new package.

Bottle and can dimensions vary between brands. A package that is labeled with the same fluid capacity can still have a different height, width, shape, or surface design.

Test-vend a new product before filling an entire column.

Easy Product Mix Changes

A flexible beverage machine gives operators more options as customer tastes change.

You may start a location with mostly carbonated soft drinks. Later, customer requests may show demand for water, sports drinks, energy drinks, or tea.

The Royal 660 is designed to make beverage configuration practical without turning every product change into a major project.

That flexibility is useful for operators who manage many different types of locations.

Seasonal Product Changes

Drink demand can also change during the year.

Water and sports drinks may sell faster during warm weather or at physically active workplaces.

Traditional soda may remain a strong seller throughout the year.

Energy drinks may perform well at workplaces with early, late, or overnight shifts.

Tea and other non-carbonated drinks may appeal to customers who want alternatives to soda.

A flexible vending machine lets you respond to these changes instead of keeping the same product mix forever.

Multi-Price Vending

The Royal Vendors 660 is a multi-price vending machine.

This is important because beverages do not always have the same cost or retail value.

A 12 oz can may need one selling price. A larger bottle may need another price. An energy drink may need a different price again.

Multi-price capability gives an operator more freedom when setting prices for different selections.

That can make it easier to manage product costs and margins.

Why Multi-Price Capability Helps

Wholesale beverage costs can vary greatly.

Package size, brand, supplier, promotions, and local market conditions can all affect your cost.

Using one price for every product may not make sense.

With multi-price capability, you can build a drink menu that better reflects your product costs and vending strategy.

Accepts Coins

Cash remains useful in many vending locations.

This Royal Vendors 660 is equipped to accept coins through its vending payment system.

Coin acceptance gives customers a traditional way to purchase beverages.

It can be particularly useful at locations where customers commonly carry cash or change.

Accepts $1 Bills

The machine is also listed as accepting $1 bills.

A bill validator makes the buying process easier for customers who do not have enough coins available.

Offering both coin and bill acceptance gives customers more than one way to make a cash purchase.

Payment equipment should be inspected and maintained as part of normal vending machine service.

Credit Card Capable

Cashless vending has become an important option for many vending locations.

The Royal Vendors 660 is listed as credit card capable.

However, this point is important:

A credit card reader is not included with the machine.

Credit card capable means the machine has electronics that are new enough to work with compatible cashless vending equipment when the proper reader and installation are added.

This distinction helps buyers understand exactly what they are purchasing.

Why Add Cashless Payment?

Many customers now prefer to pay without physical cash.

Depending on the reader and service used, cashless vending may allow purchases with:

  • Credit cards
  • Debit cards
  • Contactless cards
  • Compatible mobile wallets
  • Other supported cashless payment methods

Available payment methods depend on the card reader, processor, network service, and installation.

A reader should be selected based on compatibility with the machine and your vending business needs.

DEX Protocol Support

The Royal Vendors 660 listing includes DEX protocol.

DEX is a vending industry data standard used with compatible vending management equipment and systems.

For route operators, vending data can help provide a clearer picture of machine activity when the proper hardware and software are used.

Actual DEX functions depend on the equipment connected to the machine and the services used by the operator.

Refurbished Commercial Vending Equipment

This Royal Vendors 660 is sold as a refurbished vending machine.

Refurbished equipment can be a practical choice for buyers who want commercial-grade vending equipment without purchasing a brand-new machine.

Commercial vending machines are designed for real-world service. They are built to hold substantial inventory, accept customer payments, keep drinks cold, and operate for long periods.

Buying refurbished equipment can help an operator put more of a startup or expansion budget toward inventory, transportation, card readers, locations, and other business needs.

Why Consider a Refurbished Royal Vendors 660?

New commercial vending equipment can require a large investment.

That may make sense for some high-volume locations. It may not make sense for every account.

A refurbished Royal Vendors machine gives operators another choice.

You can put a full-size commercial beverage machine into service without automatically paying the cost associated with new equipment.

Potential Advantages of Refurbished Equipment

  • Lower initial equipment cost compared with many new commercial machines
  • Full-size commercial construction
  • Large beverage capacity
  • Traditional cash payment capability
  • Potential for compatible cashless upgrades
  • Recognizable commercial vending design
  • Suitable for route expansion
  • Useful for replacing aging vending equipment
  • Can help a new operator control startup costs

The best machine depends on the location, expected sales, available budget, desired payment system, and product plan.

Made for Vending Routes

Route efficiency can have a major effect on a vending business.

The machine itself is only one part of the operation.

Operators also need to think about travel time, fuel, inventory, product loading, collections, repairs, customer service, and machine cleaning.

A high-capacity drink machine can support a more efficient route by allowing more inventory to be placed at one location.

The goal is not simply to fill the machine completely.

The goal is to stock the right products in the right quantities.

Use Sales to Guide Restocking

Pay attention to what customers actually buy.

If one drink repeatedly sells out while another remains nearly full, adjust your column allocation.

The 12-column design of the Royal 660 can help with this process.

Give more capacity to proven sellers.

Use lower-volume selections for variety.

This simple approach can improve product availability while reducing unnecessary inventory.

A Good Choice for Office Break Rooms

Office employees often want fast access to drinks without leaving the building.

A beverage vending machine can provide cold refreshments throughout the workday.

The Royal Vendors 660 offers enough selection to provide a useful mix of traditional soda, water, diet choices, and other compatible beverages.

Cash and optional cashless payment choices can also help serve employees with different payment preferences.

A Practical Machine for Warehouses

Warehouses can be strong vending locations because employees may have limited time during breaks.

A vending machine lets workers purchase a cold drink without waiting in a checkout line or leaving the property.

The large capacity of the Royal 660 can be helpful in facilities with many employees or multiple work shifts.

Popular products can be doubled up to provide more inventory for busy periods.

Useful for Manufacturing Facilities

Manufacturing plants often operate long hours.

Some operate around the clock.

That creates demand for self-service food and beverage options outside normal store or cafeteria hours.

A commercial cold drink vending machine can provide convenient beverage access for employees on first, second, and third shifts.

The Royal 660's capacity makes it worth considering for these environments.

Great for Laundromats

Laundromat customers may spend a significant amount of time waiting for wash and dry cycles.

Cold beverage vending can add another convenience to the location.

The Coke Chameleon Ice graphics also provide a familiar visual that customers can quickly recognize as a drink machine.

A properly placed machine can offer refreshments without requiring the laundromat owner to staff a beverage counter.

Apartment and Residential Community Vending

Apartment residents often appreciate convenient access to drinks close to home.

A vending machine may work well in an approved laundry room, recreation room, clubhouse, lobby, or other shared area.

The correct placement depends on the property layout, security, electrical service, and management approval.

A commercial machine should always be installed where there is enough room for safe customer use and future service access.

Retail and Customer Waiting Areas

Some businesses have customers who wait for service.

Auto shops are a common example.

Service centers, tire stores, repair facilities, and similar businesses may have customers sitting in a waiting room for an extended period.

A cold drink machine can add a simple self-service amenity.

The business does not need an employee to process each beverage sale.

Dimensions and Installation Planning

The Royal Vendors 660 is a large commercial vending machine.

Always measure before ordering.

The listed dimensions are:

  • Height: 72 inches
  • Width: 37.5 inches
  • Depth: 34.5 inches
  • Listed weight: Approximately 640 lbs.

Do not measure only the final vending location.

You also need to measure the complete delivery path.

Measure the Entire Route Into the Building

Check:

  • Exterior doors
  • Interior doors
  • Hallways
  • Turns and corners
  • Elevator doors
  • Elevator interiors
  • Ramps
  • Stairs
  • Gates
  • Loading areas
  • Final machine location

A machine can fit perfectly in the final space and still be impossible to move through a narrow doorway.

Measure first.

Plan for Service Access

Do not place the machine so tightly against surrounding objects that it cannot be serviced.

Vending equipment needs access for cleaning, loading, payment system service, refrigeration checks, and normal repairs.

Leave enough working space around the machine based on the installation requirements and conditions at the site.

Good placement makes future service easier.

Plan Your Beverage Menu Before Installation

A successful vending machine starts with the customer.

Think about who will use the machine.

An office may have different preferences from a warehouse. A gym may have different demand from a laundromat. A hotel may have different needs from an auto repair shop.

Build the initial product menu around the location.

Example Product Mix

A general beverage mix could include:

  • Regular cola
  • Diet cola
  • Zero-sugar cola
  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Another flavored soda
  • Bottled water
  • Sports drink
  • Tea or another compatible beverage

This is only an example.

Your actual product mix should be based on customer demand and machine compatibility.

Use Extra Columns for Best Sellers

The relationship between eight selections and 12 columns is useful for inventory planning.

You do not have to treat every drink equally.

Suppose regular cola is the top seller at your location. Water is second. The remaining products sell at a slower rate.

Additional product columns can be assigned to the strongest sellers where the machine configuration allows it.

This can help reduce the chance that a popular selection sells out while less popular products remain available.

Test New Products Before Filling a Column

Do not assume every bottle or can will vend correctly because its label shows a familiar fluid size.

Packaging changes.

Bottles can have different shapes.

Cans can have different diameters and heights.

Before filling an entire column with a new product, load a small test quantity and run several test vends.

Make sure the product releases correctly and reaches the delivery area as expected.

This simple step can prevent service calls and customer complaints.

Keep Products Organized

Good loading habits make a vending machine easier to manage.

Keep the same product grouped together in its assigned column.

Rotate inventory when restocking.

Check date codes where applicable.

Remove damaged packages.

Make sure cans and bottles are loaded in the correct direction for the machine setup.

A few extra minutes during service can prevent problems later.

Clean the Machine Regularly

A clean vending machine looks more inviting.

Customers notice fingerprints, dust, sticky surfaces, and dirty delivery areas.

Regular cleaning should be part of every vending route.

Basic Cleaning Areas

  • Front door
  • Selection buttons
  • Display area
  • Bill validator area
  • Coin entry area
  • Coin return
  • Delivery opening
  • Exterior cabinet
  • Product loading areas
  • Accessible interior surfaces

Use cleaning products that are appropriate for the surface being cleaned.

Do not allow liquid to enter electrical parts.

Inspect Payment Equipment During Service

A machine full of cold drinks cannot make sales if customers cannot pay.

Check the payment system during regular service visits.

Test the coin mechanism.

Test the bill validator.

If a cashless reader is installed, verify that it is operating as expected.

Look for dirt, damage, blocked openings, or customer notes that may indicate a problem.

Payment equipment is a key part of the customer experience.

Check Refrigeration Performance

Customers expect a cold drink machine to provide chilled beverages.

Refrigeration performance should therefore be part of normal machine inspection.

Pay attention to unusual sounds, excessive heat, blocked airflow, or beverages that do not feel properly chilled.

Keep ventilation areas clear.

Have qualified service performed when needed.

Do not ignore refrigeration problems. Addressing an issue early can help prevent a larger problem later.

Keep the Area Around the Machine Clear

A vending machine needs a suitable installation area.

Do not block required ventilation.

Do not allow trash, boxes, inventory, furniture, or other items to crowd the machine.

The customer should have enough room to approach the machine, make a selection, pay, and retrieve a drink.

The operator should also have enough room to open and service the machine.

Use Clear Flavor Labels

Customers should be able to understand what each button sells.

Use clean and accurate flavor strips or selection labels.

Replace labels when you change products.

A selection button showing one beverage while vending another creates confusion.

Clear labeling makes the machine easier to use and gives it a more professional appearance.

Monitor Prices

Product costs change over time.

Review your vending prices periodically.

Consider wholesale cost, location commission if applicable, card processing costs, sales taxes where applicable, travel expenses, spoilage, service costs, and desired margin.

The Royal 660's multi-price capability makes it possible to use different selling prices for different selections.

That can be useful when your products have very different costs.

Consider Cashless Vending for the Right Location

A card reader is not included with this Royal Vendors 660.

However, the machine is listed as credit card capable.

For some locations, adding compatible cashless payment equipment may be worthwhile.

Think about the customers who use the machine.

Do they normally carry cash?

Are they employees who may use a card or phone for most purchases?

Is the average beverage price high enough that cashless payment would make purchasing easier?

These questions can help you decide whether to add a reader.

Cashless Equipment Is an Additional System

A card reader is not simply a decorative attachment.

Cashless vending normally involves hardware, connectivity, payment processing, account setup, and service fees.

Before choosing a system, review:

  • Machine compatibility
  • Reader cost
  • Installation requirements
  • Processing rates
  • Monthly or service fees
  • Cellular or network coverage
  • Supported payment types
  • Remote reporting features
  • Technical support

Choose equipment that fits your vending operation rather than selecting a reader based only on appearance.

Why Royal Vendors?

Royal Vendors is a recognized manufacturer in the commercial beverage vending industry.

Royal machines are commonly used for cold drink vending and are familiar to many vending operators and service technicians.

For a buyer considering refurbished equipment, an established commercial vending platform can be attractive because it is designed for regular route use.

The Royal 660 combines this commercial format with high capacity and flexible beverage vending.

Royal Vendors 660 vs. a Small Vending Machine

A small vending machine may look appealing because it takes up less room.

However, capacity matters when a machine is placed at a real commercial account.

A small machine can require frequent restocking.

That means more driving and more labor.

The Royal 660 is designed around a much larger inventory.

For an operator servicing several locations, that difference can become important.

Full-Size Machine Advantages

  • More product capacity
  • More revenue potential between fills
  • Commercial payment equipment
  • Multiple beverage selections
  • Ability to stock popular products in larger quantities
  • Professional vending appearance
  • Better fit for many established commercial accounts

Good for New Vending Operators

Starting a vending route requires careful spending.

You need more than machines.

You may also need beverage inventory, transportation equipment, locks, payment equipment, spare parts, insurance, business licenses, card readers, and working capital.

Choosing refurbished commercial equipment can help keep more of your budget available for those other needs.

The Royal Vendors 660 offers the size and capacity of a commercial beverage machine while being sold as refurbished equipment.

Good for Established Route Operators

Experienced operators may need machines for a different reason.

You may have won a new account.

You may need to replace an older drink machine.

You may want to move a smaller machine out of a growing location.

Or you may need another machine available for route expansion.

A refurbished Royal 660 can fit into these plans.

Replacing an Older Beverage Machine

Older vending machines can remain useful for many years, but every operator eventually faces replacement decisions.

A machine may become too costly to repair.

It may not support the payment technology you want to use.

It may have insufficient capacity for a growing location.

Or the appearance may no longer fit the account.

The Royal Vendors 660 provides a commercial replacement option with multi-price vending, DEX capability, cash acceptance, and credit card capability.

Use the Machine Where Demand Supports It

A large machine should be matched with an appropriate location.

Do not choose equipment only because it has high capacity.

Consider how many people use the location, how often they are present, whether competing food and beverage options are nearby, and what products customers want.

A well-matched machine and location are more important than machine size alone.

Questions to Ask Before Placing the Machine

  • How many people use the location each day?
  • Are customers or employees on site for long periods?
  • What beverages do they currently buy?
  • Are there nearby stores or cafeterias?
  • Is the vending area secure?
  • Is electrical power available?
  • Is there enough room for the machine?
  • Can the machine fit through the delivery path?
  • Does the location want cashless payment?
  • How often can the machine be serviced?
  • Who is responsible for cleaning around the vending area?
  • Are there restrictions on beverage brands or product types?

Answering these questions before installation can prevent problems later.

Plan the Route, Not Just the Machine

A vending business becomes easier to manage when locations are grouped efficiently.

A great account that requires a long drive may be less attractive than several good accounts located close together.

The large capacity of the Royal 660 can help reduce refill frequency, but route planning still matters.

Track sales.

Track service frequency.

Track product demand.

Use that information to improve your route over time.

Product Rotation Matters

Do not simply place new drinks in front of old inventory.

Use a consistent stock rotation process.

Check package dates where applicable and load products in a way that helps older stock sell first.

This is especially important when a machine has large capacity.

More inventory is useful only when it is managed correctly.

Avoid Overloading Slow Sellers

It can be tempting to fill every column completely.

That is not always the best strategy.

If a product sells slowly, too much inventory can sit in the machine for a long time.

Use sales history to decide how much inventory each selection needs.

High sellers may deserve more capacity.

Slow sellers may need less.

This approach helps keep inventory moving.

Track Out-of-Stock Products

A sold-out selection represents missed sales.

When you service the Royal 660, note which products sold out first.

If the same selection repeatedly empties before your scheduled service day, consider increasing its capacity or visiting the location more often.

The 12-column layout gives you useful flexibility for adjusting high-demand products.

Listen to Customer Requests

Sales reports tell you what people bought.

Customer requests can tell you what they wanted but could not buy.

If several employees ask for bottled water, a zero-sugar option, or a particular compatible drink, consider testing it.

You do not need to change the whole machine.

Replace one slower selection and measure the results.

Small tests can help improve the product mix without creating unnecessary inventory risk.

Presentation Can Affect Sales

A clean, attractive machine can create a better customer impression.

Keep the Coke Chameleon Ice front clean.

Make sure selection labels are straight and easy to read.

Remove tape, old notices, and unnecessary stickers.

Clean the payment area.

Keep the floor around the machine clean.

These details are simple, but they can make the vending area look more professional.

Use Signs Carefully

Sometimes an operator needs to add a small sign with contact information or instructions.

Keep signs neat.

Avoid covering important graphics, instructions, buttons, displays, or ventilation areas.

If you provide a service phone number or QR code, place it where customers can find it without making the machine look cluttered.

Make Service Information Easy to Find

Customers should have a simple way to report a problem.

A small professional service label can include the vending operator's contact information.

This can help you learn quickly about problems such as:

  • A product that did not vend
  • A bill that was not accepted
  • A coin issue
  • A sold-out selection
  • A warm beverage
  • A card reader issue
  • A damaged selection label

Fast problem reports can help protect the location relationship.

Protect the Customer Experience

Vending is based on trust.

A customer puts money into a machine and expects the correct product.

Reliable operation encourages repeat use.

When a problem occurs, handle it quickly.

Keep refund procedures simple.

Repair problems as soon as practical.

A well-maintained machine supports both customer satisfaction and the operator's reputation.

Commercial Construction for Everyday Use

The Royal Vendors 660 is designed as commercial vending equipment.

That makes it different from small novelty machines or lightweight countertop dispensers.

A commercial machine is intended to operate in locations where many customers may use it throughout the day.

That does not mean maintenance is unnecessary.

Every vending machine needs cleaning, inspection, adjustment, and occasional repair.

Routine care helps keep commercial equipment working as intended.

Maintenance Should Be Part of Your Business Plan

Do not wait for a machine to stop working before thinking about maintenance.

Build inspection into normal route service.

Look for small problems before they become major problems.

Items to Check Regularly

  • Coin acceptance
  • Bill acceptance
  • Selection buttons
  • Digital display
  • Product delivery
  • Coin return
  • Door operation
  • Locks
  • Product columns
  • Refrigeration performance
  • Interior cleanliness
  • Exterior cleanliness
  • Flavor labels
  • Cashless reader, if installed

Maintenance needs vary by machine condition, location, environment, and usage.

Keep Basic Service Supplies Available

Vending operators can save time by carrying basic service items on their route.

The exact tools and parts depend on the machines being serviced.

Useful items may include cleaning supplies, spare labels, common hand tools, payment-system cleaning supplies, and approved replacement parts.

Do not perform repairs beyond your experience level.

Use qualified vending technicians when necessary.

Machine Security

Security should be considered when choosing a vending location.

Place the machine in an area that is appropriate for commercial vending equipment.

Indoor or supervised locations can reduce exposure to weather and vandalism.

Follow appropriate security practices for locks, cash collection, and machine access.

Only authorized people should have keys or access to the machine.

Cash Collection Procedures

If the machine accepts cash, use a consistent collection process.

Keep accurate records.

Avoid unnecessary handling of cash in public view.

Make sure the machine is properly secured after every service visit.

Good procedures become increasingly important as a vending route grows.

Use Sales Records to Improve Performance

Do not rely only on memory.

Track what each location sells.

Record which products move quickly and which products remain in the machine.

Compare service intervals.

Watch seasonal changes.

Use the data to make better stocking decisions.

The goal is to keep customers supplied without carrying unnecessary inventory.

DEX and Route Management

The Royal Vendors 660 includes DEX protocol support.

When used with compatible equipment and software, vending data can become part of a more organized route-management process.

Operators may use vending technology to help understand machine activity and improve service planning.

Features vary by system.

Confirm compatibility before purchasing additional telemetry or cashless equipment.

Start With a Simple Product Plan

New vending operators sometimes try to offer too many unusual products at once.

A simpler approach is often easier.

Start with well-known beverages that fit the location.

Watch the sales.

Then make changes.

The eight selections on the Royal 660 provide enough variety to build a balanced menu without making the customer decision overly complicated.

Balance Variety and Capacity

More variety is not always better.

Every additional flavor uses space that could be assigned to a proven seller.

The Royal 660 gives you a useful balance.

Eight selections provide customer choice.

Twelve columns provide extra inventory flexibility.

Use that combination to create a menu based on the actual account.

Example Strategy for a Busy Workplace

A busy workplace might use the machine for a mix of soda, water, and sports drinks.

The operator could give extra column space to the strongest-selling cola and water selections.

The remaining selections could provide diet, zero-sugar, flavored soda, sports drink, tea, or other compatible options.

After several weeks, the operator could review sales and adjust the mix.

This is usually more effective than guessing once and never changing the machine again.

Example Strategy for a Laundromat

A laundromat may have customers of many ages and preferences.

A broad mix of familiar drinks may work well.

Regular soda, diet soda, water, and other popular packaged beverages can provide useful variety.

Because customers may spend a long time at the location, convenience can be an important part of the vending offer.

Example Strategy for a Warehouse

A warehouse may have concentrated demand during scheduled breaks.

That means several customers may use the machine in a short period.

High capacity can be valuable in this situation.

Give extra inventory space to proven high-volume drinks.

Make sure payment equipment is working before shift changes and break periods.

Service the machine on a schedule that prevents frequent sellouts.

Example Strategy for an Apartment Community

An apartment location may have less predictable demand.

Residents may use the machine at different times throughout the day and evening.

Start with familiar beverage choices.

Watch product movement carefully.

Do not overstock slow products just because the machine has available capacity.

Before You Buy

Confirm that this machine fits your business needs before placing an order.

Review the following points:

  • Machine dimensions
  • Delivery access
  • Final installation space

Credit Card Reader Not Included

This point deserves to be repeated because it can affect your purchase plan.

The Royal Vendors 660 Coke Chameleon Ice is credit card capable, but it does not include a credit card reader.

If you want cashless payments, compatible equipment must be purchased and installed separately.

Reader compatibility, installation, service plans, processing fees, and network requirements can vary.

Confirm these details before purchasing a cashless system.

Refurbished Condition

This machine is listed as a refurbished item.

A refurbished vending machine is not the same thing as a factory-new machine.

Used commercial vending equipment may show normal signs associated with previous service, age, transportation, or refurbishment.

Cosmetic details can vary from machine to machine.

If a specific cosmetic detail is important to your location, confirm the current machine condition before ordering.

Graphics and Appearance

The Coke Chameleon Ice design is a major visual feature of this listing.

Graphics help make the machine easy to identify as a cold beverage vendor.

However, refurbished equipment may not look identical to a brand-new machine.

Review current product photos and listing details when appearance is important to your installation.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?

Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability

New vs Refurbished

We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.

According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.

Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:

  • Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
  • Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
  • Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700

(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)

As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.

Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.

Start small and grow as you can afford it.

Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.

All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.

Small mechanical machines have two main problems:

  • They don't make change or accept dollar bills
  • They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff

Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.

A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
