Key Code 413 Vending Machine Security Lock – Keyed Alike
Protect your vending machine equipment with a dependable Key Code 413 Security Lock designed specifically for vending machines and similar commercial equipment. This new offset-style plug lock provides an added layer of security while offering a convenient keyed-alike configuration for operators who manage multiple machines. Instead of carrying a different key for every machine, keyed-alike locks allow multiple compatible locks to be operated with the same key.
Whether you operate a single vending machine or maintain a larger vending route, having reliable locks is an important part of protecting your equipment. The Vending Machine Security Lock Key Code 413 is designed to work with most vending machine T-handles, making it a practical replacement or upgrade for many vending machine applications.
Reliable Security for Vending Machines
Vending machines are often placed in locations where they need to remain secure while still allowing authorized operators convenient access. A properly installed security lock helps restrict access to the interior of the machine and provides an important barrier against unauthorized entry. The Key Code 413 plug lock is designed for vending machine applications and is suitable for replacing worn, damaged, missing, or outdated locks.
The offset-style design makes this lock a practical choice for compatible vending machine T-handle assemblies. Before ordering, verify that your existing lock and handle configuration is compatible with an offset plug lock and Key Code 413. Compatibility can vary between vending machine models and handle assemblies.
Keyed-Alike Convenience
One of the biggest advantages of this security lock is its keyed-alike configuration. When you purchase multiple compatible locks keyed alike, the same key can be used to operate each lock. This can make day-to-day vending operations significantly easier, particularly for businesses managing several machines.
With a keyed-alike setup, operators can reduce the number of keys they need to carry and simplify access across multiple machines. This is especially useful for vending routes, warehouses, offices, retail locations, and other commercial environments where several machines require regular servicing.
Ideal for Replacement and New Installations
The Key Code 413 vending machine lock can be used as a replacement for a compatible existing lock or as part of a new vending machine security setup. It is a useful option when an original lock has become worn from repeated use, a key has been lost, or a machine needs a new lock for improved access control.
Replacing a vending machine lock can also be a straightforward way to restore secure access without replacing the entire T-handle assembly. If your current assembly accepts a compatible plug lock, this product may provide a convenient replacement solution.
Designed for Vending Machine Operators
Vending machine operators need equipment that is practical, dependable, and easy to manage. The Key Code 413 lock is designed with those everyday requirements in mind. Its compact plug-lock format is intended for compatible vending machine T-handles, while the keyed-alike option helps simplify key management across multiple machines.
Whether you are maintaining an established vending route or preparing equipment for installation, having replacement locks available can help reduce downtime when a lock or key needs to be replaced. Keeping the correct lock configuration on hand can also make routine maintenance and equipment servicing more convenient.

Managing vending equipment becomes easier when access is standardized. A keyed-alike lock system can help operators streamline their daily routines by allowing one compatible key to operate multiple locks. This can be particularly valuable for technicians and route operators who regularly visit several machines throughout the day.
The Key Code 413 Security Lock is also a practical choice for businesses that want to maintain consistent lock configurations across compatible vending machines. By using the same key code across multiple locks, operators can simplify organization and reduce the clutter associated with carrying numerous individual keys.
Before Ordering
For the best fit, compare the lock currently installed on your vending machine with the Key Code 413 configuration before purchasing. This lock is intended for compatible vending machine T-handles, but vending machines can use different lock and handle designs. Confirming compatibility before installation can help ensure the replacement lock is appropriate for your equipment.
For businesses purchasing multiple locks, the keyed-alike design offers an efficient way to create a more standardized access system. Multiple locks can be configured to operate with the appropriate matching key, helping simplify vending machine servicing and maintenance.
Secure Your Vending Equipment with Confidence
The Key Code 413 Vending Machine Security Lock combines practical vending-machine security with the convenience of keyed-alike operation. Its offset plug-lock design makes it a useful replacement option for compatible vending machine T-handles, while the keyed-alike configuration provides a simpler approach to managing access across multiple machines.
If you need a new replacement lock for a compatible vending machine or are standardizing locks across a vending route, the Key Code 413 security lock is a practical solution. Built for vending machine applications and supplied new, it provides an easy way to maintain secure, organized access to your equipment.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
