Tubular Plug Locks for Vending Machines – Keyed Alike, Key Code #1452
Protect your vending equipment with a dependable and convenient locking solution designed for vending machines with T-handle locking systems. These Tubular Plug Locks, Key Code #1452, are brand-new replacement locks featuring a 7-pin tubular tumbler design and keyed-alike operation. They are an excellent choice for vending machine operators, route owners, technicians, and businesses that need to secure multiple machines while keeping key management simple.
Built specifically for vending applications, these tubular-style plug locks provide a practical combination of security, convenience, and reliable everyday operation. The locks are designed to fit most vending machines using a compatible T-handle mechanism, making them a useful replacement option when an existing lock is worn, damaged, missing, or in need of an upgrade.
7-Pin Tubular Locking Design
The 7-pin tubular tumbler design provides an added level of security compared with basic locking mechanisms. The tubular configuration is designed to make unauthorized manipulation more difficult while providing a straightforward method for authorized users to access the machine. This makes the lock particularly useful for vending machines that contain cash, products, electronics, and other valuable equipment.
Each lock is manufactured as a new replacement part and features a tubular-style plug configuration. The design is intended for dependable daily use in commercial vending environments where machines may be opened regularly for restocking, servicing, cash collection, and maintenance.
Keyed Alike Convenience
One of the biggest advantages of this product is that the locks are keyed alike. Multiple locks using the same key code can be operated with the same key, which can make managing a vending route much easier. Instead of carrying a separate key for every machine, operators can use one compatible key across machines equipped with the same locking configuration and key code.
This is especially valuable for vending businesses with multiple machines. Whether you operate a small route or maintain a larger fleet, keyed-alike locks can simplify daily service operations and reduce the number of keys that employees or technicians need to carry.
Key Code #1452
These plug locks are identified by key code #1452. The matching key code makes it easier to maintain consistency throughout a vending machine fleet. Replacement keys are also available separately, providing a convenient option if additional keys are needed or an existing key is lost.
Each lock comes with two keys, giving operators a convenient backup or allowing a second authorized person to have access. Additional #1452 keys can also be purchased separately when needed.
Fits Most T-Handle Vending Machines
These tubular plug locks are designed to fit most vending machines that use a T-handle locking mechanism. This broad compatibility makes them a useful replacement part for many types of vending equipment, including snack and beverage machines.
Before ordering, customers should compare their existing lock and T-handle configuration to confirm compatibility. Because vending machines can use different lock styles and dimensions, checking the existing setup is an important step when selecting a replacement lock.
Designed for Vending Machine Operators
A vending machine lock needs to withstand repeated use while providing dependable access to authorized operators. These new tubular plug locks are designed with vending applications in mind, making them suitable for routine servicing, product replenishment, machine maintenance, and cash collection.
The lock's design also helps simplify machine maintenance. A properly functioning lock allows authorized personnel to open the machine efficiently when necessary while helping keep the machine secured between service visits.
Ideal Replacement for Worn or Damaged Locks
Replacing a worn or damaged vending machine lock can be an important part of maintaining the security and usability of vending equipment. A lock that sticks, fails to turn properly, or has a damaged key can slow down service operations and create unnecessary maintenance problems.
Installing a new replacement plug lock can restore dependable access and provide a fresh locking mechanism without requiring replacement of the entire vending machine. This makes the product a practical choice for vending machine owners looking to maintain older equipment or prepare machines for continued commercial use.
Bulk Purchasing Options
Vending World offers quantity pricing for customers purchasing multiple locks. Bulk purchasing can be especially useful for vending operators who need to replace locks across an entire fleet or standardize several machines with the same key code. Purchasing multiple keyed-alike locks can help create a more consistent security system while reducing the number of different keys required by the business.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
