Clear Barq's Root Beer Product Identification
Product identification is an important part of any vending machine. Customers should be able to look at the selections and quickly understand what beverage is available in each position. A worn, missing, or incorrect flavor strip can make a machine look incomplete and may make product selection less convenient.
The Chameleon Machines Barq's Root Beer 12 oz Strip provides a dedicated product label for a familiar root beer selection. Its recognizable branding helps customers identify the beverage without having to guess which button or selection corresponds with the product.
For vending operators, replacing damaged or outdated strips can also help maintain a consistent appearance across the machine. When every beverage selection has a clear and properly positioned label, the front of the machine looks more organized and easier to use.
Designed for Chameleon-Style Vending Machines
This flavor strip is specifically identified as a Chameleon Style product. Vending World lists the strip under its Coke Chameleon 3.5 x 10 flavor-strip category. The listed dimensions are 3 5/8 inches wide by 10 inches high, making it important to compare the dimensions of your existing strip before ordering.
The Chameleon category includes beverage flavor strips used with compatible Coke-style vending equipment. Vending World notes that these strips are used on Chameleon front machines, including compatible Royal and Dixie Narco models.
Because vending machines can use different label sizes and mounting arrangements, checking your current strip is recommended before installation. Matching the correct size helps ensure that the replacement fits the intended location properly.

Why Replace a Worn Vending Flavor Strip?
Vending machines operate in busy environments. Customers interact with the front panel repeatedly throughout the day, while operators regularly restock products and perform maintenance. Over time, labels and flavor strips can become worn, scratched, faded, or damaged.
A replacement flavor strip offers a simple way to refresh the product identification area without replacing the entire machine. Instead of leaving an empty label position or using a handwritten substitute, operators can install a dedicated strip for the beverage being sold.
This is especially useful when changing a machine's product mix. If a vending location begins selling Barq's Root Beer in a 12 oz can, adding the appropriate flavor strip helps keep the machine's selections aligned with its current inventory.
Useful for Vending Machine Maintenance
Routine vending machine maintenance is about more than refrigeration, payment systems, motors, and electrical components. Small items such as flavor strips also contribute to the overall condition of the machine.
Keeping replacement strips on hand can make routine service easier. If a Barq's Root Beer label becomes damaged during servicing or restocking, an operator can replace it instead of leaving the selection without proper identification.
For vending routes with multiple machines, replacement flavor strips can also be useful as part of a basic maintenance inventory. Having common labels available may reduce the time spent searching for a replacement when a strip needs attention.
Calorie Information for Customer Awareness
This Barq's Root Beer flavor strip is listed as including calorie information. Vending World explains that updated flavor strips can include calorie counts to make nutritional information more visible to customers.
Displaying calorie information directly on a vending machine can make product information easier for customers to see while they make their selections. It also gives operators a consistent labeling format across compatible beverage selections.
For operators maintaining a modern beverage vending machine, using the appropriate current-style flavor strip can help keep the product display clear and informative.
Professional Appearance for Beverage Vending Machines
The appearance of a vending machine can affect how customers interact with it. A clean cabinet, readable selections, and properly displayed beverage labels create a more organized presentation.
The Barq's Root Beer 12 oz strip can be used to replace a missing or damaged label and maintain a consistent presentation with other Chameleon-style beverage strips. Vending World offers a range of Chameleon flavor strips for popular soft drinks and energy beverages, allowing operators to build a coordinated selection display.
Whether you operate one machine or maintain a larger vending route, replacing individual flavor strips is a straightforward maintenance task that can help keep beverage selections easy to understand.
Check the Size Before Ordering
Vending machines use several different flavor-strip formats. Vending World lists small, medium, large, and Chameleon-style strips in different dimensions, so it is important to compare the existing label with the replacement you are ordering.
This particular product is listed at 3 5/8 inches wide by 10 inches high. If your machine currently uses a different style or size of strip, verify compatibility before placing your order. Checking the old strip and the available mounting area is a simple way to help avoid ordering the wrong replacement.
Simple Replacement for Compatible Machines
Replacing a vending machine flavor strip is generally much simpler than replacing a larger machine component. Once the correct strip has been identified, the old label can be removed and the replacement positioned in the appropriate selection area according to the machine's design.
Always inspect the existing mounting area before installation. Make sure the surface is clean and that the replacement strip corresponds to the intended beverage selection. Proper positioning helps customers quickly connect the Barq's Root Beer label with the correct product.
Ideal for Vending Operators and Route Owners
The Chameleon Machines Barq's Root Beer 12 oz Strips are a useful replacement item for vending machine operators, route owners, vending technicians, and businesses maintaining compatible Coke-style beverage machines.
They can be especially helpful when a machine is being refreshed, a beverage selection is being changed, or an existing label has become damaged. Instead of replacing a complete display assembly, an operator can replace the individual flavor strip associated with the beverage selection.
Keeping the product identification current also makes restocking and route management easier. Operators can quickly see which selections are labeled and identify any areas that need replacement or updating during regular service visits.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
