Keep your vending machine ready for cash-paying customers with the Coinco Bill Pro $1/$5 Bill Validator. This refurbished bill validator is designed for vending operators who need dependable bill acceptance without the cost of purchasing new equipment. The Coinco Bill Pro is a proven MDB-compatible validator with a compact design, illuminated bill inlet, expandable bill box, and programmable acceptance for U.S. currency.
This unit is listed by Vending World as a refurbished Coinco Bill Pro with an expandable box, $1 bill acceptance, 2008 $5 bill programming, and an MDB interface. It is a practical replacement for vending machines that need a working cash-payment system while helping operators control equipment costs.
Reliable Cash Acceptance for Vending Machines
A bill validator plays an important role in any cash-operated vending machine. When the validator is not working properly, customers may be unable to complete purchases. A dependable validator helps keep the payment process simple and convenient.
The Coinco Bill Pro was designed specifically for vending applications. It uses the Multi-Drop Bus (MDB) communication system used by compatible vending machines. MDB allows the payment equipment and vending machine controller to communicate during a transaction.
The BillPro platform is an MDB-only product, so operators should confirm that their vending machine and harness are compatible before ordering. The manufacturer documentation identifies MDB communication as the supported interface for BillPro units.

Expandable Bill Box Design
One of the useful features of the Coinco Bill Pro is its expandable bill box. Coinco's BillPro platform uses the FlexStack bill box design, which can expand to hold a large quantity of bills. PayComplete lists capacity of up to 650 bills for the BillPro FlexStack system.
A larger bill capacity can be helpful for vending machines located in busy areas. Operators may be able to collect cash less frequently, depending on sales volume and the specific bill box configuration. This can help simplify collection schedules for vending routes.
The expandable design also makes the Bill Pro a useful choice for operators who want a professional cash-handling solution without moving to a much larger validator assembly.
Designed for Vending Applications
The Coinco Bill Pro is built around the needs of vending machine operators. Its modular design makes access to key components easier during routine service. The BillPro platform also includes an illuminated bill inlet, which helps customers identify where to insert their cash.
The manufacturer documentation also describes features such as an illuminated inlet, modular construction, anti-jam software, and a scalloped bill path intended to improve handling of bills in vending environments.
These features can make the validator easier to use and maintain. For operators managing several machines, simple service access can be especially valuable when equipment needs attention in the field.
MDB Compatibility
MDB compatibility is an important consideration when replacing a vending bill validator. The Coinco Bill Pro communicates through MDB, so it should be installed in a vending machine designed to support the appropriate MDB payment configuration.
Before purchasing, check the vending machine's existing payment system, harness, connector, and controller. Confirming compatibility before installation can help prevent unnecessary downtime and installation problems.
The BillPro platform is specifically identified as a 34-volt DC MDB device by PayComplete. The manufacturer's documentation also identifies BillPro units as MDB-only.
Why Choose a Refurbished Bill Validator?
Replacing a vending machine component does not always require buying new equipment. A properly refurbished validator can provide a cost-conscious alternative for operators maintaining existing vending machines.
This refurbished Coinco Bill Pro is intended for customers who want to restore cash acceptance while keeping equipment costs under control. Refurbished vending parts can be especially useful for older machines where replacing an entire payment system may not make financial sense.
Choosing a refurbished validator can also extend the useful life of existing vending equipment. Instead of replacing a functioning machine because of one failed payment component, an operator can replace the problem component and return the machine to service.
Benefits for Vending Operators
- Restore cash acceptance: Replace a failed or unreliable compatible bill validator.
- Control repair costs: Refurbished equipment can provide a lower-cost alternative to new hardware.
- Support cash payments: Accept compatible $1 and $5 bills as configured.
- Use MDB communication: Designed for vending machines that use the MDB payment interface.
- Expandable cash capacity: The BillPro platform supports an expandable FlexStack bill box.
- Service-friendly design: Modular construction provides access for maintenance.
- Keep existing equipment running: Replace the validator instead of replacing an entire vending machine.
Ideal Uses for the Coinco Bill Pro
The Coinco Bill Pro can be considered for a variety of compatible vending applications. It can be used with vending equipment where customers need to pay with cash and the machine supports the appropriate MDB configuration.
Potential applications include snack vending machines, beverage vending machines, and combination vending machines. The exact compatibility depends on the machine model, payment configuration, harness, and validator setup.
For vending operators, this makes the Bill Pro a practical component for maintaining machines already equipped for MDB cash acceptance. It can also serve as a replacement unit when an existing validator requires repair or replacement.
Maintenance and Installation Tips
Proper installation and routine cleaning can help keep a bill validator operating reliably. Before installing the Coinco Bill Pro, verify that the vending machine supports MDB communication and that the existing wiring and connector match the validator.
Keep the bill path clean and free from dust, dirt, paper residue, and other debris. A contaminated bill path can interfere with proper bill movement and recognition. Follow appropriate manufacturer service procedures when cleaning or servicing the validator.
It is also helpful to test the validator after installation. Insert the supported bills and confirm that the vending machine recognizes the transaction correctly. Check that the bill moves smoothly through the validator and that the machine provides the appropriate credit.
If a problem occurs, inspect the MDB connection and mounting position before assuming that the validator itself has failed. A loose connection or incompatible configuration can cause payment equipment to operate incorrectly.
Check Compatibility Before Ordering
Because vending machines use different payment systems and configurations, compatibility should always be confirmed before purchasing a replacement validator. The Coinco Bill Pro listed here is an MDB interface unit.
Review your current validator and vending machine documentation. Compare the model, connector, bill box, communication interface, and currency programming. If you are replacing an existing Coinco validator, having the model information available can make the selection process easier.
For older vending machines, it is particularly important to verify the complete payment configuration before installation. This helps ensure that the replacement part matches the machine's controller and harness.
Coinco Bill Pro vs. Replacing the Entire Vending Machine
A failed bill validator does not necessarily mean that a vending machine needs to be replaced. If the cabinet, refrigeration system, control board, shelves, motors, and other major components remain in good condition, replacing the payment component may be a practical way to restore operation.
The Coinco Bill Pro provides operators with an option for maintaining compatible equipment without replacing the entire machine. This can be useful for established vending routes where keeping existing machines in service is important.
Instead of removing a machine from a location because customers cannot pay with bills, a replacement validator may help return the payment system to working order.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
