The refurbished Dixie Narco Model 3561 Baby BevMax is a glass-front cold drink vending machine built for commercial service. It gives customers a clear view of the drinks before they buy. Operators can offer several package types, set different prices, and serve busy locations with one machine.

Machine at a glance

  • Model: Dixie Narco 3561 Baby BevMax
  • SKU: C3561V
  • Condition: Used and refurbished
  • Selections: 30
  • Listed capacity: About 250 to 310 drinks, depending on package size and setup
  • Dimensions: 72 inches high, 33 inches wide, 33 inches deep
  • Listed weight: 595 pounds
  • Payment: Multi-price, five-tube coin changer, $1 and $5 bill acceptance
  • Other features: Glass-front live display, LED lighting, DEX protocol, MDB payment interface
  • Card reader: Capable of accepting a compatible reader; reader is not included
  • Front: New cold-drink graphics

Important: Package fit depends on the correct tray setup and shims. The product listing gives several capacity figures, so the actual count will vary. Confirm drink sizes, configuration, and current availability before ordering.

Glass-front shopping experience

The clear front lets buyers see the products in the machine. This is useful when a location carries more than one brand, flavor, or drink size. A visible selection can help customers decide before they insert payment.

  • Operator note: Keep the display clean, put popular drinks in easy-to-see spots, and use labels that match the products loaded behind the glass.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for glass-front shopping experience helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Thirty selections for drink variety

The machine is listed with 30 selections. That gives an operator room to offer a mix of regular soda, diet drinks, water, and other packaged beverages that fit the configured trays.

  • Operator note: Build the selection plan around real customer demand instead of filling every position with a different slow-selling item.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for thirty selections for drink variety helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Multi-price flexibility

Different drinks may need different selling prices. Multi-price control makes it possible to price items according to package size, cost, and location needs.

  • Operator note: Check every displayed price against the programmed vend price after changing the product mix.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for multi-price flexibility helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Cold drinks throughout the day

The 3561 is a refrigerated beverage vendor. Its job is to hold and dispense cold packaged drinks at a location where people want quick access to refreshments.

  • Operator note: Allow the unit to reach a stable operating temperature before judging drink temperature or starting normal sales.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for cold drinks throughout the day helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Five-tube coin changer

The listing identifies a five-tube coin mechanism. A coin changer supports cash transactions and helps return change when the correct coins are available.

  • Operator note: Keep suitable change in the tubes and test several cash amounts as part of routine service.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for five-tube coin changer helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

One-dollar and five-dollar bill acceptance

The listed bill validator accepts $1 and $5 bills. This gives customers a familiar way to pay when they do not have coins.

  • Operator note: Clean and check the bill path as recommended for the installed validator model.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for one-dollar and five-dollar bill acceptance helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Credit card reader capability

The machine electronics are described as credit card capable. This does not mean a reader comes with the machine. A compatible reader, service plan, and installation may be separate purchases.

  • Operator note: Confirm the reader model, wiring, network coverage, fees, and installation needs with the payment provider before buying.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for credit card reader capability helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

MDB payment system

The listing describes MDB support for the coin changer and bill acceptor. MDB is a common vending payment interface that allows compatible devices to communicate with the machine.

  • Operator note: Match payment devices to the machine configuration and verify operation after any change.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for mdb payment system helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

DEX reporting interface

DEX protocol is listed as a feature. It can support collection of vending information when the right equipment and setup are used.

  • Operator note: Ask what reporting hardware or software is needed for the way you plan to manage your route.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for dex reporting interface helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

LED display lighting

The product page lists LED bulb lighting. Light behind the glass makes the drink display easier to see in many indoor settings.

  • Operator note: Check the lighting during final setup and replace failed parts with the correct compatible type.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for led display lighting helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Compact width for a glass-front vendor

The listed cabinet is 33 inches wide and 33 inches deep, with a height of 72 inches. Measure the final site and every doorway along the delivery route.

  • Operator note: Leave enough room for safe access, ventilation, door movement, and routine service.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for compact width for a glass-front vendor helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Commercial steel cabinet

The product listing describes heavy-duty welded steel construction. This is a commercial vending machine, not a small countertop unit.

  • Operator note: Plan for professional moving equipment and a suitable floor that can support the machine.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for commercial steel cabinet helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Refurbished finish

Vending World describes cleaning, sanding, painting, payment equipment work, new graphics, and a final checkout as part of its beverage machine refurbishment process.

  • Operator note: Ask for current photos if cosmetic details or the exact front appearance matter to your location.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for refurbished finish helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

New front graphics

The listed unit has new cold-drink front graphics. A clean exterior can help the machine fit into a break room, shop, or shared space.

  • Operator note: The actual refurbished unit may differ in small visual details from sample photos.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for new front graphics helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Can and bottle choices

The listing mentions standard 12-ounce cans, 20-ounce bottles, and 16-ounce energy drinks. The correct fit is not automatic for every brand or container.

  • Operator note: Verify diameter, height, shape, and the required shim for each package before filling a full tray.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for can and bottle choices helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Shims and package fit

BevMax drink trays use parts such as shims to guide packages. Many shim variations exist because bottles and cans do not all have the same shape.

  • Operator note: Try a small quantity of the correct parts and run test vends before placing a bulk parts order.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for shims and package fit helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Real-world capacity

The listing gives an overall range of 250 to 310 products. Another section mentions about 280 to 310, depending on package size.

  • Operator note: Treat all counts as estimates rather than a guarantee for every drink mix.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for real-world capacity helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Five trays and product layout

The source describes five trays and nine columns per tray, while also listing 30 customer selections. Tray positions and customer selections are not necessarily the same count.

  • Operator note: Use the actual installed tray layout when making a planogram or calculating refill quantities.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for five trays and product layout helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Automatic service diagnostics

The source lists automatic service diagnostics. These can help a technician or operator narrow down a fault during maintenance.

  • Operator note: Use the correct service guide for the installed controls before changing settings or replacing parts.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for automatic service diagnostics helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Anti-theft locking

A secure locking system is listed. The refurbishment description also says the machine comes with a lock and two keys.

  • Operator note: Store spare keys safely and keep the cabinet fully locked when the machine is unattended.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for anti-theft locking helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Office break rooms

An office may need quick drink service without a staffed counter. A glass-front machine gives workers a way to browse beverages during a break.

  • Operator note: Use sales history to balance water, regular soda, and lower-sugar options.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for office break rooms helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Workshops and warehouses

Industrial and back-of-house sites may have long shifts and short breaks. A refrigerated drink machine can provide convenient access near a break area.

  • Operator note: Choose a location that allows safe delivery, a stable power connection, and clear service access.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for workshops and warehouses helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Apartment and shared spaces

A shared vending area can serve residents or visitors without adding a staffed retail operation.

  • Operator note: Confirm building rules, hours, security, and who is responsible for restocking.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for apartment and shared spaces helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Hotels and lodging

Guests may want a drink outside normal food-service hours. A well-stocked machine can be a useful amenity.

  • Operator note: Choose familiar beverages and make the prices easy to understand.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for hotels and lodging helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Schools and recreation sites

Beverage demand can change with schedules and events. The 30 selections allow a location to adjust its mix when permitted.

  • Operator note: Follow all local beverage, nutrition, placement, and payment rules for the site.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for schools and recreation sites helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Indoor and outdoor placement

The source describes the machine as suitable for indoor or outdoor environments. Outdoor placement still requires careful review of exposure and site conditions.

  • Operator note: Confirm the exact unit rating, weather protection, temperature limits, and electrical requirements before installing outside.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for indoor and outdoor placement helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Location planning

A good vending location has steady foot traffic, safe access, power, and enough room for customers to use the machine.

  • Operator note: Check the route from delivery vehicle to final position, not just the open space where the unit will stand.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for location planning helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Delivery access

At a listed weight of 595 pounds, this machine needs a serious moving plan. Narrow turns, stairs, thresholds, and uneven ground can cause trouble.

  • Operator note: Measure doors and corridors and use trained vending-machine movers.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for delivery access helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Power and setup

Refrigerated machines need a suitable electrical supply and enough space to release heat. The listing does not state a voltage or circuit requirement.

  • Operator note: Check the machine data plate and installation guide for the exact electrical specification.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for power and setup helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Loading drinks

Load each tray according to its actual setup. A package that looks similar to another may still need different guides or shims.

  • Operator note: Run test vends after changing a package size or brand.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for loading drinks helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Daily customer experience

Clear products, readable prices, working payment devices, and reliable delivery all affect whether people use a vending machine again.

  • Operator note: Keep the front clean and respond promptly to sold-out selections or customer reports.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for daily customer experience helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Refill schedule

A refill plan should reflect how fast each item sells. A high-volume site may need more visits than a quiet office.

  • Operator note: Record product counts during service so you can adjust the next refill.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for refill schedule helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Product rotation

Rotate stock so older dated drinks sell first. This reduces waste and keeps the product mix fresh.

  • Operator note: Check date codes and damaged packaging during every visit.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for product rotation helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Cleaning the machine

Regular cleaning helps keep the front attractive and the customer area pleasant. It also makes it easier to spot spills and worn parts.

  • Operator note: Follow safe cleaning instructions for glass, seals, payment equipment, and food-contact areas.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for cleaning the machine helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Testing cash transactions

After installation, test coins, bills, change, pricing, and product delivery. A machine can power on while still needing setup work.

  • Operator note: Test several selections at different prices before leaving the site.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for testing cash transactions helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Testing optional card payments

A separately installed card reader should be tested with the payment provider before the machine is offered as cashless.

  • Operator note: Check authorization, vend completion, and how failed transactions are handled.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for testing optional card payments helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Understanding refurbished equipment

A refurbished unit offers commercial construction at a different price point from a new machine. It remains used equipment and may show minor signs of prior service.

  • Operator note: Ask which parts have been checked or replaced and what warranty terms apply.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for understanding refurbished equipment helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Maintenance planning

Every vending machine benefits from planned inspection. Payment parts, cooling parts, trays, and doors should be checked at sensible intervals.

  • Operator note: Use trained service personnel for electrical and refrigeration repairs.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for maintenance planning helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Customer choice

A glass-front display makes it easy to compare drinks without guessing which item is behind a button.

  • Operator note: Keep each product aligned with its selection label and vend position.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for customer choice helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Price changes

Prices may need to change as product costs or site agreements change. Multi-price operation supports different amounts for different selections.

  • Operator note: Retest price settings and customer-facing labels after updates.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for price changes helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Route management

Operators with more than one machine need repeatable service records. A standard process makes it easier to see which drinks move quickly.

  • Operator note: Track sales, refill dates, cash collections, and service calls in one place.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for route management helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Seasonal demand

Drink sales can rise or fall with weather, staffing, and events. A flexible selection plan helps operators respond.

  • Operator note: Adjust stock based on actual trends rather than assuming the same demand all year.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for seasonal demand helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Selecting drink sizes

Standard can and bottle descriptions are only a starting point. Packaging can change even when the stated fluid volume stays the same.

  • Operator note: Measure the actual container and confirm its tray compatibility.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for selecting drink sizes helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Preparing for first use

The machine should be placed securely, inspected, loaded correctly, and tested before serving customers.

  • Operator note: Have the service manual and the payment-device instructions available during setup.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for preparing for first use helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Service access

Operators need space to open the cabinet and reach trays, payment equipment, and service areas.

  • Operator note: Do not install the machine where a wall or fixture blocks the door.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for service access helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Operating costs

The purchase price is only one part of vending ownership. Electricity, drinks, card processing, transportation, and service all affect costs.

  • Operator note: Build a budget that includes both regular expenses and unexpected repairs.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for operating costs helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

A practical beverage lineup

A mix of water, cola, citrus soda, diet drinks, and other popular choices can suit many general locations when each package is compatible.

  • Operator note: Start with a focused mix and use customer purchases to guide later changes.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for a practical beverage lineup helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Buying considerations

This listing describes a refurbished commercial machine with 30 selections, cash payment equipment, and card-reader capability.

  • Operator note: Verify availability, included accessories, cosmetic condition, warranty, and freight before purchase.
  • Why it matters: A clear plan for buying considerations helps the machine fit the location and makes service easier to manage.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?

Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability

New vs Refurbished

We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.

According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.

Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:

  • Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
  • Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
  • Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700

(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)

As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.

Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.

Start small and grow as you can afford it.

Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.

All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.

Small mechanical machines have two main problems:

  • They don't make change or accept dollar bills
  • They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff

Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.

A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
