A+W Root Beer (HVV) 12 oz can flavor strip

A clear root beer choice
The A+W Root Beer HVV 12 oz can flavor strip gives shoppers a clear way to find a familiar root beer selection. Its can-on-ice artwork helps identify the drink at the front of a compatible high-visibility vending machine. The graphic includes calorie information and is sold as a new replacement part.
Product details at a glance
This is a printed beverage identification graphic, not a can of soda. Vending World lists it as SKU FSHVVAW12OZ, manufacturer NBS, in the DB95-style Pepsi HVV group. The stated format is about 5.3 inches wide and 7.2 inches high. Check the actual opening before buying.
What the artwork communicates
The can-on-ice scene makes the beverage choice easy to understand. The A+W Root Beer name tells customers which drink the selection represents. The 12 oz can reference helps distinguish it from a bottle selection or a different package size.
A tidy front display
A beverage machine can work well and still look incomplete when a selection graphic is faded or missing. Replacing that one graphic can bring order back to the display. The result is a clearer presentation without changing the machine’s cooling or vending system.

Recognition from a distance
A clear product name can be seen before a shopper studies the smaller details. This matters when several drink choices share the same front panel.
What to check for this use
Keep the root beer artwork aligned with the selection that actually dispenses the product. A clear picture should match the loaded beverage.
For a machine with several drink options, this detail affects how the whole front panel reads to a shopper. In the case of recognition from a distance, the most useful reference is the existing machine setup and the drink currently loaded. The new A+W Root Beer graphic should support those facts, not override them.

Display review 25: Installation planning
Front display access differs by machine. Some models have retainers or panels that must be opened to reach the graphic. Consult the correct machine manual and avoid forcing the strip into an opening. This review concerns the A+W Root Beer 12 oz can image in a compatible HVV front. Confirm the displayed choice against the actual column contents before treating the graphic as ready for customers.
Display review 26: Selection verification
A good-looking label is useful only when it points to the right beverage. This is a basic part of accurate vending presentation. After installation, check the selection mapping using the machine’s approved service process. This review concerns the A+W Root Beer 12 oz can image in a compatible HVV front. Confirm the displayed choice against the actual column contents before treating the graphic as ready for customers.
Display review 27: Ordering the right quantity
A single damaged selection may need only one replacement. A fleet with many matching machines may need more. Count the actual A+W Root Beer selections that use this exact format before ordering. Display review 28: Part identification
The SKU FSHVVAW12OZ provides a clear reference for future orders. It is more precise than asking for a generic root beer sign. Save the SKU alongside the machine location and front-panel type. Display review 29: Graphic versus machine function
This strip identifies a drink visually. It does not control dispensing, pricing, cooling, or payment acceptance. Troubleshoot those systems separately if the machine has an operating problem. Display review 30: Clear calorie presentation
A printed calorie reference can be helpful, but product formulas and packaging may change. The graphic should not replace current product information. Verify that displayed information remains appropriate for the stocked beverage. This review concerns the A+W Root Beer 12 oz can image in a compatible HVV front. Confirm the displayed choice against the actual column contents before treating the graphic as ready for customers.
Display review 31: Comparing similar strips
HVV artwork can feature many soda brands and package sizes. Similar colors or shapes do not make two strips interchangeable. Compare the full product name, size reference, dimensions, and artwork before selecting a replacement. This review concerns the A+W Root Beer 12 oz can image in a compatible HVV front. Confirm the displayed choice against the actual column contents before treating the graphic as ready for customers.
Display review 32: Maintaining a polished appearance
An orderly beverage front can reinforce the care taken with the rest of the machine. Consistent graphics are one visible detail. Review the whole display during normal route visits, not just the most recently replaced label. This review concerns the A+W Root Beer 12 oz can image in a compatible HVV front. Confirm the displayed choice against the actual column contents before treating the graphic as ready for customers.
Display review 33: Recognition from a distance
A clear product name can be seen before a shopper studies the smaller details. This matters when several drink choices share the same front panel. Keep the root beer artwork aligned with the selection that actually dispenses the product. A clear picture should match the loaded beverage. Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
