Mountain Dew (HVV) 20 oz bottle flavor strip

Mountain Dew (HVV) 20 oz Bottle Flavor Strip – Bottle on Ice – New
Give your Pepsi HVV vending machine a clean, easy-to-read product display with this Mountain Dew (HVV) 20 oz bottle flavor strip. This new flavor strip features Mountain Dew bottle artwork in a Bottle on Ice design. It is made for vending operators who need a replacement selection label for machines selling 20 oz Mountain Dew bottles.
A clear flavor strip helps customers quickly see what drink is available behind each selection button. That may seem like a small detail, but it can make a big difference in the appearance and usability of a beverage vending machine.
This Mountain Dew vending flavor strip uses the larger HVV format. The DB95-style strip measures approximately 5.3 inches wide by 7.2 inches high. This format is designed for Pepsi High Visibility Vendor fronts and can be used with compatible HVV machines from manufacturers such as Royal Vendors and Dixie-Narco.
The strip also includes calorie information. This gives the selection area a more complete, modern appearance while helping customers identify the beverage before making a purchase.

What Is a Mountain Dew Vending Machine Flavor Strip?
A flavor strip is the product identification graphic used on the front of many beverage vending machines. It tells the customer which drink is connected to a particular selection.
When a vending machine sells several beverages, each selection needs to be easy to identify. Flavor strips help organize those choices. A customer can look at the machine, find Mountain Dew, press the correct selection, and complete the purchase.
This Mountain Dew strip is designed specifically for a 20 oz bottle selection in a compatible Pepsi HVV vending machine.
It is not the beverage itself. It is also not a vending button, selection switch, motor, control board, or bottle shim. It is the display graphic used to identify the Mountain Dew selection on the machine.
Designed for 20 oz Mountain Dew Bottle Selections
Drink vending machines may sell cans, bottles, or a combination of both. The product artwork on the machine should match what the customer receives whenever possible.
This flavor strip is intended to identify a 20 oz Mountain Dew bottle selection.
That makes it useful when setting up a vending machine with popular bottled beverages. If you are changing an existing selection to Mountain Dew, replacing an old graphic, or restoring a Pepsi HVV machine, this strip provides the correct type of product identification for the selection area.
Common Reasons to Replace a Flavor Strip
- The original strip is faded.
- The old strip is scratched.
- The artwork has become difficult to read.
- The machine has been changed to a different beverage.
- A used machine is being cleaned and restored.
- A missing selection graphic needs to be replaced.
- The machine is being prepared for a new vending location.
- The front graphics no longer match the products being sold.
- The operator wants a cleaner and more consistent display.
Pepsi HVV High Visibility Vendor Style
HVV stands for High Visibility Vendor. Pepsi HVV vending machine fronts use large product graphics to make beverage selections easy to see.
Instead of using only a small button label, an HVV front can display larger graphics across the selection area. This creates a bold beverage presentation and makes individual drinks easier to identify from a distance.
Because HVV graphics are larger than many standard vending machine flavor strips, size is important. A small strip made for a conventional selection button will not automatically fit an HVV display.
This Mountain Dew flavor strip uses the larger DB95-style HVV format.
DB95 Size – Approximately 5.3" Wide x 7.2" High
The DB95 HVV flavor strip size is approximately 5.3 inches wide by 7.2 inches high.
This larger format is designed for compatible Pepsi HVV front machines. It gives the Mountain Dew artwork plenty of room to remain visible while fitting the intended display area.
Always compare these measurements with the strip currently installed in your machine before ordering.
Why Measuring Matters
Vending machines use many different styles and sizes of flavor strips. Two machines may both sell Pepsi products but use completely different display formats.
For example, vending machines may use:
- Small selection-button strips
- Medium flavor strips
- Long flavor strips
- Marketplace graphics
- HVV high-visibility graphics
- Custom machine-specific graphics
For that reason, do not order a replacement based only on the beverage name.
Check the size and style of your existing graphic first.
Compatibility with Pepsi HVV Front Machines
This DB95-style Mountain Dew flavor strip is designed for compatible Pepsi HVV front vending machines.
HVV applications can include machines manufactured by well-known commercial vending machine companies such as:
- Royal Vendors
- Dixie-Narco
Machine brand alone does not guarantee compatibility. Royal Vendors and Dixie-Narco produced many different vending machine models, door styles, and graphic systems.
A Royal vending machine with one style of front may require a completely different flavor strip from another Royal machine. The same is true for Dixie-Narco equipment.
The safest method is simple: compare your existing flavor strip with the dimensions and HVV format listed for this product.
Before Ordering, Check These Details
- Is your vending machine equipped with a Pepsi HVV front?
- Does your current strip measure about 5.3" x 7.2"?
- Are you selling Mountain Dew from that selection?
- Are you vending a 20 oz bottle from the selection?
- Does the existing display use the same general DB95-style format?
If these details match, this may be the correct replacement graphic for your application.
Mountain Dew Bottle on Ice Artwork
This strip features Mountain Dew bottle artwork presented in a Bottle on Ice style.
Drink vending machines depend heavily on visual identification. Customers often make a selection in only a few seconds. Clear product artwork makes that process easier.
Bottle imagery also helps communicate the package format. A customer can see that the selection represents bottled Mountain Dew rather than a can.
For vending operators, matching the graphic to the actual product can create a more organized and professional-looking machine.
Includes Calorie Information
This Mountain Dew HVV flavor strip includes calorie information as part of the display.
Modern vending graphics often provide more information than older product labels. A current-style graphic can help create a cleaner and more consistent appearance across the machine.
If you are replacing several old flavor strips, consider using graphics with a similar style and format throughout the vending machine whenever compatible strips are available.
New Vending Machine Part
This flavor strip is sold as a new part.
That is useful for operators restoring machines that have old, faded, damaged, or missing product graphics.
A flavor strip has no moving parts, electronics, wiring, or programming. Even so, its condition is easy for customers to see.
The selection area is one of the most visible parts of a vending machine. Replacing worn graphics is therefore a simple way to improve presentation without replacing the entire machine.
Refresh the Look of an Older Pepsi Vending Machine
Commercial beverage vending machines can stay in service for many years. The internal components may continue working well even when the outside graphics begin to look old.
Sunlight, cleaning, handling, dirt, scratches, and normal use can affect the appearance of flavor strips over time.
A machine may still cool and vend perfectly while its selection graphics look worn.
Replacing old flavor strips can help refresh the customer-facing portion of the machine.
A Simple Cosmetic Update
Vending machine refurbishment does not always require a major repair.
Small details can make a noticeable difference.
An operator preparing a machine for placement may choose to:
- Clean the cabinet
- Clean the delivery area
- Replace damaged buttons
- Replace old price labels
- Install fresh flavor strips
- Check the lighting
- Clean the bill validator area
- Clean the coin return
- Test each selection
These smaller improvements can help an older commercial machine look better at its next location.
Useful for Vending Machine Refurbishment
This Mountain Dew HVV strip can be useful for vending machine dealers, route operators, repair shops, refurbishers, and businesses maintaining their own beverage equipment.
Used vending machines often arrive with a mixed set of flavor strips. Some may be current. Others may show beverages that are no longer stocked.
A machine may even have blank or missing selection graphics.
Replacing those graphics is one step in preparing the equipment for service.
Good for Route Operators
Route operators regularly change product selections based on customer demand.
One location may sell more Mountain Dew than another. If a machine is being reset for a new product mix, the display should be changed at the same time.
Keeping spare flavor strips with your service supplies can make these changes easier.
Good for Vending Machine Dealers
Dealers and refurbishers may work on many machines from different manufacturers.
Having the correct graphics available makes it easier to finish a machine before sale or installation.
The final presentation matters. A machine with clean and matching product graphics generally looks more complete than one with faded or mismatched labels.
Good for Business Owners
Some businesses own and maintain their own vending machines rather than using an outside vending service.
A replacement flavor strip provides a simple way to update a beverage selection without making an electrical or mechanical repair.
Clear Beverage Identification Helps Customers
A vending machine should be simple to understand.
The customer should be able to answer three basic questions quickly:
- What drinks are available?
- Which button selects each drink?
- What will I receive after making my selection?
Clear product graphics help answer those questions.
If a Mountain Dew selection has no graphic, a faded label, or artwork for the wrong drink, the customer may hesitate or choose something else.
The flavor strip provides clear visual identification for the selection.
Maintain a Consistent Vending Machine Display
Consistency matters when setting up the front of a vending machine.
Imagine a Pepsi HVV machine with several clean graphics and one badly faded selection. That single worn strip can stand out.
Replacing damaged graphics helps create a more uniform appearance.
For a full machine refresh, inspect every selection and identify any strip that is:
- Faded
- Cracked
- Torn
- Scratched
- Missing
- Incorrect for the loaded beverage
- Different in size from the surrounding graphics
- Hard to read
Replace those strips as needed.
Ideal for Many Vending Locations
Mountain Dew is commonly offered in beverage vending machines across many types of locations. A clear Mountain Dew graphic can therefore be useful in a wide range of vending environments.
Compatible beverage vending machines may be placed in locations such as:
- Office buildings
- Warehouses
- Factories
- Automotive shops
- Employee break rooms
- Apartment communities
- Laundromats
- Hotels
- Motels
- Recreation centers
- Manufacturing facilities
- Waiting rooms
- Service centers
- Retail employee areas
- Transportation facilities
- Commercial properties
Always follow any location-specific requirements when deciding which beverages to sell.
How to Check Your Existing Flavor Strip
Checking compatibility before ordering can save time.
Start by removing or examining the current strip in your vending machine.
Step 1: Identify the Front Style
Look at the machine and determine whether it uses a Pepsi HVV front.
Do not assume every Pepsi-branded machine uses HVV graphics. Pepsi vending machines have been produced in many different styles.
Step 2: Measure the Existing Strip
Measure the width and height of the existing graphic.
This product is approximately:
- Width: 5.3 inches
- Height: 7.2 inches
Your existing strip should be close to these dimensions and use the same display style.
Step 3: Confirm the Beverage
Make sure the selection will actually vend Mountain Dew.
A selection graphic should match the beverage loaded behind it.
Step 4: Confirm the Package
This graphic represents a 20 oz bottle.
If your machine is vending another package size, check whether a more suitable flavor strip is available.
Step 5: Compare the Shape and Orientation
Dimensions are important, but also compare the overall layout of your existing strip.
The replacement should match the type of display holder used on your machine.
How to Install a Replacement Flavor Strip
Flavor strip installation is usually a simple process, although the exact method depends on the vending machine door and display system.
Before beginning, inspect how the current strip is held in place.
Basic Installation Process
- Open the vending machine door according to the machine manufacturer's normal service procedure.
- Locate the rear of the flavor strip display area.
- Note how the existing strip is positioned.
- Carefully remove the old strip.
- Clean the display area if needed.
- Insert the new Mountain Dew strip in the same orientation.
- Make sure the artwork is straight and fully visible.
- Close the display holder or retaining area.
- Close and secure the vending machine.
- Check the front to confirm that the strip is properly aligned.
Do not force a strip into a holder that is clearly too small. If the dimensions do not match, stop and verify compatibility.
Installation Tips
- Take a photo of the original strip before removing it.
- Measure the old strip before ordering replacements.
- Keep the new graphic clean during installation.
- Avoid bending the strip more than necessary.
- Make sure the graphic is not installed upside down.
- Check alignment from the customer side of the machine.
- Confirm that the displayed product matches the loaded beverage.
- Replace other worn strips at the same time for a cleaner appearance.
Changing a Vending Selection to Mountain Dew
If you are converting a selection from another beverage to Mountain Dew, changing the flavor strip is only one part of the process.
The machine must also be configured to physically vend the bottle being loaded.
Depending on the vending machine, bottle setup can involve components such as:
- Shims
- Spacers
- Product retainers
- Motor settings
- Column settings
- Depth settings
- Product guides
The exact configuration depends on the machine model and product package.
A flavor strip does not change the mechanical vending setup. It only identifies the product to the customer.
After changing products, test the selection several times before returning the machine to normal service.
Why the Correct Flavor Strip Size Is Important
A flavor strip that is too small may move around inside the display area. It may also leave empty space around the graphic.
A strip that is too large may not fit at all.
Trying to force an incorrect size into the machine can also damage the graphic.
The correct size gives you a cleaner installation and a more professional result.
Do Not Buy by Brand Name Alone
Seeing the words "Mountain Dew flavor strip" is not enough to confirm fit.
Mountain Dew graphics are available in different sizes and styles for different vending machine fronts.
Likewise, seeing the words "Pepsi vending machine" does not guarantee that this DB95 HVV strip will fit.
Always compare:
- Machine front style
- Strip width
- Strip height
- Beverage package
- Display orientation
HVV Flavor Strips vs. Standard Small Flavor Strips
One of the most important differences is size.
Many conventional vending machines use relatively small flavor labels behind individual selection buttons. HVV machines use much larger product graphics.
This Mountain Dew DB95 strip is approximately 5.3" x 7.2", so it should not be confused with a small button-sized Mountain Dew strip.
Choose HVV When
- Your machine has a Pepsi High Visibility Vendor front.
- Your existing strip is approximately 5.3" x 7.2".
- The display area is designed for a DB95-style graphic.
Choose Another Size When
- Your existing strip is much smaller.
- Your machine uses a standard button display.
- Your machine has a Marketplace-style front.
- Your existing strip uses another dimension.
- Your machine requires a model-specific graphic.
HVV vs. Marketplace Flavor Strips
HVV and Marketplace graphics should not automatically be treated as interchangeable.
Marketplace vending fronts can use a different flavor strip size. Pepsi HVV machines use their own high-visibility format.
Measure first.
A few seconds spent checking the existing strip can prevent ordering the wrong replacement.
Royal Vendors Applications
Royal Vendors produced many commercial beverage vending machines, including equipment fitted with branded Pepsi fronts.
Some Royal machines use Pepsi HVV-style graphics.
If your Royal Vendors machine has the correct HVV front and uses the DB95-size flavor strip, this Mountain Dew graphic may be suitable for that application.
Do not determine fit from the Royal name alone.
Check the actual display on your machine.
Dixie-Narco Applications
Dixie-Narco is another major name in commercial beverage vending equipment.
Many Dixie-Narco machines have been produced with branded beverage fronts, including Pepsi configurations.
Compatible Pepsi HVV fronts can use DB95-style flavor strips.
Again, the machine manufacturer alone does not determine strip size.
Inspect the front and measure the existing graphic before ordering.
A Small Part with an Important Job
A flavor strip is inexpensive compared with major vending machine components, but it performs an important customer-facing job.
It connects the product inside the machine with the selection the customer sees outside.
Without clear product identification, customers may not know what a button will vend.
That is why replacing missing or incorrect flavor strips should be part of normal machine setup.
Improve the Appearance of the Selection Area
The front of a beverage vending machine acts as its product display.
Customers see the graphics before they see the actual bottle.
Clean flavor strips can help make the machine look organized and ready for use.
This is especially useful when placing a refurbished machine at a new account.
Before Placing a Machine at a Location
Consider checking:
- All flavor strips
- Price labels
- Selection buttons
- Display lighting
- Bill validator operation
- Coin mechanism operation
- Credit card reader, if installed
- Delivery door
- Door lock
- Cooling system
- Each vend selection
The goal is a machine that both works correctly and looks ready for customers.
Useful Spare Part for a Vending Route
Route operators may benefit from keeping commonly used flavor strips in their parts inventory.
Product mixes can change over time.
A location may request Mountain Dew. A machine may be moved to another account. A damaged graphic may need replacement during a service visit.
Having the correct strip available can make it easier to complete the change without another trip.
Consider Keeping a Small Flavor Strip Kit
A route service kit might include:
- Common beverage flavor strips
- Price labels
- Selection labels
- Cleaning supplies
- Basic hand tools
- Common machine-specific replacement parts
The exact inventory depends on the vending machines used on your route.
Great for Machine Resets and Product Changes
Vending operators sometimes perform a "reset" when moving a machine or changing its product lineup.
During a reset, each selection can be reviewed to make sure the graphic matches the loaded product.
This is a good time to remove outdated strips and replace damaged ones.
If Mountain Dew is being added to a compatible 20 oz bottle selection on a Pepsi HVV machine, this strip provides the appropriate product display style.
Easy Visual Maintenance
Mechanical maintenance keeps the vending machine operating.
Visual maintenance keeps it presentable.
Both are important.
Visual maintenance may include cleaning the cabinet, wiping the display window, replacing labels, and updating flavor strips.
These tasks usually require less time and cost than major repairs but can noticeably improve the machine's appearance.
Cleaning Around the Flavor Strip Display
When replacing a strip, it can be a good time to clean the surrounding display area.
Dust and dirt can collect behind clear panels or around selection windows.
Follow the vending machine manufacturer's cleaning recommendations.
Avoid using harsh chemicals on printed graphics unless the material is known to tolerate them.
Whenever possible, handle a new flavor strip with clean, dry hands.
Protecting Your New Flavor Strip
Proper handling can help keep the strip looking clean.
- Store unused strips flat when possible.
- Keep them in a clean, dry area.
- Avoid crushing them under heavy parts.
- Keep them away from grease and repair chemicals.
- Do not fold them unnecessarily.
- Handle the printed surface carefully.
If you maintain several machines, organizing strips by size can make future service work easier.
Organizing Flavor Strips by Machine Type
Operators with a mixed vending route may have machines that use several different strip formats.
A simple storage system can help prevent mistakes.
For example, you can organize replacement graphics into separate groups for:
- Small bottle strips
- Small can strips
- Medium strips
- Long strips
- Marketplace strips
- Pepsi HVV strips
- Energy drink strips
Label each group with its dimensions.
That makes it easier to find the right graphic before heading to a service location.
SKU SA22MMD20OZ
The Vending World SKU for this product is SA22MMD20OZ.
Keeping the SKU with your maintenance notes can make it easier to identify the same product when you need another replacement.
This can be especially useful for vending businesses with several machines using the same graphic format.
Manufactured by NBS
The product listing identifies the manufacturer as NBS.
For compatibility, the most important factors remain the strip style, dimensions, machine front, and beverage selection.

What You Receive
This listing is for the Mountain Dew HVV flavor strip described on this page.
The beverage, vending machine, selection button, bottle column parts, and other vending components are not included unless specifically stated elsewhere in the listing.
Always review the product listing and images before placing your order.
Who Should Buy This Mountain Dew HVV Strip?
This product can be a practical choice for:
- Vending route owners
- Vending machine operators
- Vending machine refurbishers
- Commercial vending equipment dealers
- Repair technicians
- Businesses that own beverage vending machines
- Operators restoring Pepsi-branded vending equipment
- Anyone replacing a compatible Mountain Dew HVV graphic
When Should You Replace a Vending Flavor Strip?
There is no fixed replacement schedule.
Replace a flavor strip when it no longer does its job well.
Common signs include:
- The strip is difficult to read.
- The color has faded.
- The graphic is torn or damaged.
- The beverage shown is no longer sold.
- The strip is missing.
- The selection has been converted to Mountain Dew.
- The machine is being refurbished.
- The display looks inconsistent with surrounding selections.
Why Match the Graphic to the Actual Beverage?
Customers rely on the machine's display when making a purchase.
If the button shows Mountain Dew but the machine vends another beverage, the customer may be disappointed.
That can create refund requests and service calls.
Whenever you change a beverage selection, update the flavor strip as part of the same service visit.
Check Your Machine After Installation
Once the new Mountain Dew strip is installed, step back and inspect the machine from the customer's point of view.
Ask a few simple questions:
- Is the Mountain Dew graphic straight?
- Is the full graphic visible?
- Does it line up with the correct selection?
- Does that selection actually vend Mountain Dew?
- Does the machine vend the correct bottle reliably?
- Is the price clearly displayed?
This final check takes only a short time and can help catch simple setup errors.
Test the Vend After Changing Products
Installing a new graphic does not prove that the vending column is set up correctly.
If you changed the product in the column, run test vends.
Make sure the 20 oz bottles load, move, and deliver correctly.
Watch for double vending, jams, or failed delivery.
Consult the service manual for your specific machine if mechanical adjustments are required.
Do Not Confuse the Strip with Bottle Setup Parts
A flavor strip identifies the beverage. It does not control how the bottle moves through the machine.
If a machine cannot properly vend a particular bottle, the solution may involve mechanical setup parts rather than the graphic.
Depending on the machine, those parts can include shims, spacers, clips, rods, or other column components.
Always separate these two questions:
- Does the graphic fit the display?
- Is the vending column configured for the bottle?
Both need to be correct for a complete product conversion.
Building a Better Beverage Selection Display
A well-organized machine is easier to shop.
When replacing one Mountain Dew strip, inspect the other beverage graphics as well.
If several are faded or incorrect, replacing them together can create a more consistent front.
Common beverage categories in a machine may include:
- Cola
- Diet soda
- Lemon-lime soda
- Mountain Dew
- Root beer
- Water
- Sports drinks
- Iced tea
- Energy drinks
The exact mix should reflect the products you actually stock.
Simple Upgrade for Refurbished Vending Equipment
Refurbishing a commercial vending machine often involves both functional and cosmetic work.
Major repairs may include refrigeration, payment systems, motors, wiring, or control boards.
Cosmetic work can be much simpler.
Fresh flavor strips are one example.
They can help finish the appearance of a machine after the larger repair work is complete.
Prepare a Machine for a New Location
When a machine is moved from one location to another, the best-selling product mix may change.
A warehouse may have different beverage demand from an office. An apartment complex may have different needs from an automotive shop.
If Mountain Dew is being added to the new product plan, update the matching selection graphic before the machine is placed into service.
This makes the machine easier for customers to understand from the first day.
Professional Presentation Without a Major Modification
Replacing a flavor strip is a small change.
It does not require replacing the entire vending machine front.
It does not require programming a control board.
It does not require replacing a motor.
For the right compatible machine, it is simply a practical display update.

Quick Compatibility Checklist
Before adding this Mountain Dew flavor strip to your order, review this checklist:
- I need a Mountain Dew product graphic.
- The selection is for a 20 oz bottle.
- My machine uses a Pepsi HVV-style front.
- My existing strip is approximately 5.3" x 7.2".
- The machine uses a DB95-style display.
- I have compared the dimensions before ordering.
If you are unsure, check the existing strip before placing your order.
Why Accurate Measurements Save Time
Vending equipment has been manufactured in many configurations over the years.
Even machines that look similar from a distance can use different front panels and graphic sizes.
Measuring is one of the simplest ways to avoid a compatibility mistake.
Use a ruler or tape measure and record both dimensions.
For this strip, you are looking for an application that uses approximately:
- 5.3 inches in width
- 7.2 inches in height
Also compare the artwork orientation and display holder.
Perfect for Replacing Missing Mountain Dew Graphics
A missing graphic creates an obvious blank area on the vending machine.
It can also make the selection confusing.
If the machine already vends Mountain Dew but the HVV strip is missing, this replacement can restore the product identification on a compatible front.
Replace Faded Mountain Dew Graphics
Printed vending graphics can fade after years of service.
This is especially noticeable when one old strip sits next to newer graphics.
Replacing a faded Mountain Dew strip can make the selection easier to identify and improve the appearance of the display.
Replace Incorrect Beverage Graphics
Used vending machines do not always arrive with the correct flavor strips.
A previous operator may have changed the product without changing the graphic.
Before putting a used machine into service, compare every graphic with the beverage loaded behind it.
Replace any incorrect strips.
This helps create a clearer customer experience and reduces confusion.
Useful When Expanding a Vending Route
As a vending route grows, machines may be moved, reassigned, or reset for different accounts.
That creates a regular need for small replacement parts and graphics.
Keeping the right flavor strips available can help operators make product changes more efficiently.
For routes with Pepsi HVV equipment, a Mountain Dew 20 oz bottle strip may be a useful item to keep with other common beverage graphics.
Keep Your Product Display Current
The products sold in a vending machine can change more often than the machine itself.
A commercial drink machine may remain at a location for years while its beverage mix changes many times.
Flavor strips allow the front display to change along with the product mix.
When Mountain Dew is added, install the matching Mountain Dew graphic.
When a product is removed, update the graphic again.
This simple habit keeps the display aligned with what customers actually receive.
Customer-Friendly Vending Starts with Clear Choices
Customers generally do not want to study a vending machine before making a purchase.
They want to see the available drinks quickly.
Large HVV graphics help provide that visibility.
A recognizable Mountain Dew image can make the selection easier to find among other beverages.
That is the basic purpose of this flavor strip: clear, simple product identification.
Pair the Strip with Correct Pricing
After updating a beverage selection, also verify the price.
The product graphic and price should both match the selection.
If your machine uses individual price labels, replace outdated labels when needed.
If pricing is shown electronically, verify the machine programming according to the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
Inspect the Entire Selection During Service
A flavor strip replacement is also a convenient time to inspect the selection.
Look for:
- Loose or damaged display components
- Dirty selection windows
- Broken buttons
- Incorrect pricing
- Incorrect product labels
- Mechanical bottle setup problems
Correcting several small issues during one service visit can save another trip later.
Mountain Dew HVV Flavor Strip for Commercial Vending Equipment
This product is designed for commercial vending equipment that uses the compatible Pepsi HVV display format.
Commercial vending machines are built for repeated daily use. Their graphics should be clear enough to support that use.
Whether you maintain one machine or an entire vending route, small display parts such as flavor strips can help keep your equipment organized and customer-ready.
Why Keep Replacement Flavor Strips on Hand?
Flavor strips are small and easy to store compared with many vending machine replacement parts.
Keeping a selection of common graphics can be useful when:
- A strip is damaged during cleaning.
- A machine is moved to a new account.
- A location requests a different beverage.
- A used machine needs missing graphics.
- An old strip has faded.
- A machine is being prepared for resale.
Organize spare graphics by format and size so the correct part is easy to locate.
Mountain Dew HVV 20 oz Bottle Flavor Strip – Final Overview
The Mountain Dew (HVV) 20 oz bottle flavor strip is a simple replacement graphic for compatible Pepsi High Visibility Vendor machines.
It features Mountain Dew Bottle on Ice artwork and identifies a 20 oz bottle selection. The graphic includes calorie information and uses the larger DB95 HVV format.
The strip measures approximately 5.3" wide x 7.2" high.
Compatible applications can include Pepsi HVV fronts on commercial vending equipment manufactured by Royal Vendors and Dixie-Narco. Because both manufacturers produced many different machine configurations, always verify the front style and dimensions before ordering.
This is a new NBS vending machine flavor strip with Vending World SKU SA22MMD20OZ.
Use it to replace a faded Mountain Dew graphic, complete a refurbished vending machine, fill a missing display position, or update a compatible selection that has been changed to 20 oz Mountain Dew bottles.
For the best result, measure the existing flavor strip first. Confirm that the machine uses the Pepsi HVV DB95 format. Then make sure the vending column is properly configured for the actual bottle being sold.

The words "Mountain Dew," "Pepsi," "Royal," or "Dixie-Narco" alone do not confirm that a flavor strip will fit your machine.
The most useful check is the existing strip.
Measure it.
Confirm that your machine has an HVV front.
Compare the size with the approximately 5.3" x 7.2" DB95 dimensions of this product.
Taking these simple steps can help you select the correct replacement graphic the first time.

Why Buy A Refurbished Machine?
Great Returns - Commercial Grade Machines - Affordability
New vs Refurbished
We used to sell new machines as well as reconditioned ones. We no longer sell new, for one main reason.
According to a recent survey of vending operators, about 93 out of 100 potential vending accounts don't generate enough revenue to justify the cost of new equipment. New machines are great if you have high volume accounts, but most people do not have these accounts.
Typical pricing on new "commercial grade" machines:
- Can drink machines: $6,200–$7,400
- Snack machines: $6,600–$8,500
- Cold food machines: $8,900–$11,700
(Priced with mech and validator, typical options, vendor pricing not including sales tax or shipping in some cases.)
As you can see, that's quite high compared to used or refurbished equipment.
Please remember 'anyone and everyone' can call their machines refurbished but what does that really mean? Please see our machine ratings page for what we actually do to our machines. Many of our competitors don't even 'clean or paint the inside' of the machines.
Start small and grow as you can afford it.Many people start in the vending business without much knowledge, and that can hurt them financially if they're not careful.
All of the machines that we sell are full size, commercial machines. There are many machines that are made that are small, countertop or mechanical coin acceptance. These machines are fine if you are a housewife looking to make a little extra money on the side. We used to sell those type of machines and no longer do. The main reason is that people who were serious about vending would out grow these type of machines in several months.
Small mechanical machines have two main problems:
- They don't make change or accept dollar bills
- They "work you to death" — frequent refills for very little payoff
Most hold under 100 products and gross only $40–$50 per full restock, and profit is less than half of that.
A full-size commercial machine, by contrast, usually holds 350 to 600 products and empties out at $250–$500. Since you spend most of your time just driving to the location, you might as well fill 500 products instead of 50.
